“San Pedro Church, Lima”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2012

This church is beautiful and has a very spiritual vibe! Would be a good idea to read about this church before visiting, so you can take time to enjoy the wonderful paintings, pay attention to the relics and the history of father Francisco del Castillo and his Baratillo Croix and also the story of Antonio Ruiz de Montoya, his life was based for the movie "The Mision"! The altars are exquisite! "La abuelita" is the oldest bell in the country! There are more than 40 martirs/saints
relics buried in that church!

“Well preserved church”

Interesting Colonial church, the paintings in the temple and the outside archery, lets you understand some of the local costumes on that time of the colonia in the Viroyalty in Lima at that time.

“Great Old Curch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

Place full of spirituality. I like many details, all altars, history on every step. I like how main altar is magnificent, how you can find just "your place" for prayers and silent moments.
