“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

We had a very good stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious (being a family of three) and clean, everybody was very very friendly and helpful and the hotel has a very good location, which enabled us to reach the oceanfront and Larcomar shopping center, as well as the central parts of Miraflores very conveniently. The included airport pick-up is very convenient and worked also very well. Breakfast was also OK.

All in all we had a very good stay on both nights we have booked at this hotel!

Great experience! The front desk personnel are fantastic! The rooms are very clean, beds comfortable, quiet, they take care of your needs. Located in walking distance of everything. Free cab ride from the airport was excellent! I highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed at the Hotel San Antonio Abad for 1 night. The hotel provided a complimentary pickup from the airport. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Miraflores – about a 15 minute walk to Lacomar Mall, and under a 5 minute walk to the bus stop that takes you to the historic centre.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They supplied us with a tourist map and helped with our planning of seeing the sights. Since our flight did not leave until late the next day, we were able to keep our room until 6:00 pm (day use option cost 50% of night rate).

We would definitely stay here again next time we're visiting Lima.

My husband and I stayed at San Antonio Abad in Lima this past week. The hotel is is short walk to everything in Miraflores. The hotel has a great staff who are always willing to take the extra step to help you out whether it is with restaurant recommendations, printing out boarding passes, storing luggage for a couple days, or making the really good omelets at breakfast! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The overall hotel looks like a mansion guest-house and is very cool. Very happy with our stay here!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and quiet. About a 10-minute walk to where the Miraflores action is. Comfy but spartan rooms. Nice dining area and lobby. Tasty breakfast. Lovely courtyard. They picked us up and took us to the airport without any hassle. Very accommodating. We were able to stay in our room an extra half day with no advance notice. There may not be hot water in the shower if you take one between 8 and 10am.

Our daughters arrived in Peru a week before we did and had found the San Antonio Abad Hotel through a friend of theirs. Once there they suggested my wife and I cancel the Multi-national chain hotel we had reservations for, and stay here when we too would be in Lima, later in our trip.
We are very, very glad that we did. The staff at San Antonio Abad are efficient, compassionate, caring, professional, and quick to act on every need or request. The hotel itself is a classic, with a lot of warm wood and a feeling of being "home" despite being in the midst of a city of 9 million people. The breakfast is wonderful with very fresh fruits and a variety of items and made-to-order omelets (tortilla) by Char!
Location is just far enough from downtown to be away from the high-priced noisy tourist-havens, and yet only two blocks from the Metroplitano (Lima's bus/metro system) station, so getting downtown was nearly effortless. A few blocks away and you are walking along the Melacón and LarcoMar. For those interested there are casinos, supermarkets, museums, and many other attractions within walking distance.
The staff arranged taxi service by a reputable firm, and gave us great suggestions for places to eat (we asked where the locals go and places which were economical) which exceeded our expectations.
San Antonio Abad is the type of place we hope for when we arrive in a new place: a bit like 'home' away from home and staffed by courteous and knowledgable personnel who have your well-being at the heart of their concern and focus.
We had already been to Cusco, many outlying archaeological sites, Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu and lots of dusty roads and hiking. Thus, I was starting to run out of clean clothes. I had occasion to use their in-house laundry service, which is reasonably priced, timely, and again efficient.
We highly recommend staying at the San Antonio Abad. And tell them the couple from Delaware with the three daughters sent you. And say hi to Jorge for the girls!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the inner courtyard, a little quieter than the street-side rooms.

Stayed here 2 nights with my two sisters and everything about the experience was stellar. Jorge at the front desk spoke perfect English and helped us with everything from directions to restaurant recommendations and reservations. He even gave us the confidence to use the excellent public transportation system, the Metropolitano, rather than simply taking cabs. Great breakfast (included), hot showers and comfortable beds. It was well worth the higher rate for our first few nights in a new country, and everything about the experience set a perfect tone for the rest of the trip. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you can get a room that doesn't directly face the main street it will probably be easier to s...
