“Ruins at Pachacamac”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

The ruins are worth a visit if you want to take a drive down the coast as well. The drive down and back gives you a good look at the countryside but I found the ruins not so interesting and I love history. The ruins are very large and not very spectacular especially if you are rushed for time in Lima. I found the Huaca Huallamarca more interesting and easily accessible. Located at San Isidro a temple complex with a huge pyramid that stands prominently out of the surrounding city complex complete with mummy bundles, masks, crowns and musical instruments etc.

“Uninspiring”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

This is a large site with only the bare bones of a previous civilisation visible. If you are visiting the Sacred Valley, give this a miss.

“fascinating”

A fascinating pre-Inca site, easily accessible from Lima. We had an excellent guided tour in English. Not yet fully developed, it has lots of potential.
