3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

Stayed one night because we needed to get back to the airport the next morning. Arrived at the Lima airport at 10 at night. The hostel had a driver there to meet us with our name placard. He was eager to help with baggage to the car. The place is about 8 minutes away, so very convenient. For the price, and having traveled South America before, I knew what to expect. And that's what we got. But the bed and linens were clean, the staff friendly and we had hot water in the morning. Also, the same driver took us back to the airport in the morning, right on schedule. The neighborhood looks almost dangerous at night so don't go out but there is really no reason to as it is residential and no restaurants around. In the morning I walked to the corner store for some bread, juice and yogurt. There were people leaving for work and kids walking to school and you realize the area is not bad at all, just a bit unwelcome looking at night. For a quick overnighter, close to the airport this is an okay place to crash.

Hotel Air Suites is located really close to Lima airport. Upfront we arranged someone from the hostel to pick us up from the airport. That worked out fine. Also the next morning at 4am when we got back to the airport.
Just a basic hotel close to the airport. Neighbourhood not recommendable for a city trip to Lima.

I don't know why there are so many 5-star ratings for this place but if you look at the people who gave 5's, most never reviewed anything before or anything after staying in this place. Strange?

Having said that, I should say you get what you pay for, no more and no less. This is the least expensive hotel I ever stayed. The people who run the place, Victor and the crew seem to be honest and genuine. And I don't sense any danger inside or outside of the hotel, which is in a residential neighborhood. The facility however is not up to the western standard. The bathroom is really small and the towels are of questionable quality, we decided not to take shower. Like many other guest, we only needed overnight stay to catch the morning flight out and this seems to be one of a very few hotels available within a mile of the airport, unless you want to pay $260 /night for a 3-star Ramada at the airport. Overall, it is what I had expected and my rating reflects that, but it's not a 3-star hotel by any standard.

The hotell is very small and not confortable. The surrongings are not nice. The only reason you would want to stay here is to sleep one night when you arrive latte at night and take a flight the following day early morning.

It is close to the airport and very unexpensive... I spend US$ 40 for a night with transportation from and to the airport.

We had a late night arrival into Lima and an early morning flight to Cusco so this seemed like a good cheap choice for a few hours and a shower. This place was horrible, it will really make you wish that the government would regulate the hostels in this town its so bad. The rooms are freezing and incredibly filthy! The shower (more like a leaky faucet, was atrocious and freezing). We would have been better off just sleeping on a bench in the airport. We wanted to stay close to the airport because it didn't make sense to drive all the way to Miraflores for a few hours in between flights. Just stay at the airport or spend the extra money to stay at the airport hotel. You will be truly disappointed and disgusted with this hostel.

I usually stay in hostels and found this to be avoided due to the rude staff. The driver was late to the airport. We almost got a cab. The person at reception acted like he didn't want us there. When we about to leave (no breakfast), I asked if I could have a sip of water/juice so I could take my medication to control my epilepsy. I was told no.

The walls were very thin, you can hear everything. The rooms were clean.

I would NOT feel comfortable to stay here as a woman traveling alone. I seen many men who either worked there or were maybe friends of the workers. There weren't any women. The driver doesn't pick you up directly at the airport, he meets you and you have to walk to the parked car. Once there, I was told not to leave because the area is too dangerous.

We've decided to look for a place to stay just the few hours we had for our connection and unfortunately near the airport in Lime the choices aren't that great but based on previous reviews we've decided to stay here. We were picked-up by the hotel but actually for the looks we were thinking that maybe we would be taken some other place... upon arrival we almost went running from there as we felt like at anytime anybody would run-into our room.... the first floor was full of students and the host was very strange person... anyways I wouldn't recommend this place... we couldn't sleep thinking we were in a risky business hotel!
