“Comfortable and safe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

Our family had 2 rooms, 1 king and 1 with 2 doubles. Both were spacious and comfortable. Beds were a little firm but that seems to be typical in Peru. We had pretty good views of the city through the very large room-wide windows from our rooms.

The concierge recommended a restaurant for lunch with outside seating. We walked and had a lovely time at Saqra. It was also very easy and convenient for us to walk to the Artisan Markets.

It was fun to have pisco sours in the bar before going to dinner. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. There were selections even for someone on a restrictive diet.

Cesar Diaz at the front desk was courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

It's a fairly comfortable hotel, we arrived on 45 minutes from the airport to the Casa Andina but return, we take an hour because it was the rush hour. the bar has a quite varied range of cocktails.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpers. I can highlight the large size of the windows in the rooms.

We spent 2 days and nights here in late January. Our room was very spacious with a king size bed and extensive views over the city - there was even a glimpse of the Pacific Ocean. Separate bathroom and vanity area, a full length mirror was a bonus. Very quiet in our room, good air conditioning , comfy variety of pillows.
Our Buffett breakfast in the Almo restaurant was very satisfying. It offered the usual cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, variety of breads , an egg station and at least 8 different hot dishes to choose from. The waiters were very efficient and pleasant.
The bar on the first floor offers all the usual beer, wine and spirits but also includes 5 different types of Pisco Sour - the fave tipple in this part of the world. Pisco is a brandy made from grapes. The female bar attendant spoke excellent English and was very happy to answer questions and chat about Peru.

Room Tip: As we were on the fourteenth floor we could see the hang gliders on the cliff mid afternoon.

On our recent trip to Peru we stayed at this hotel on 4 different occasions. It is a good hotel in a very good location. It is in a safe area, close to good shopping including the Indian Markets and walking distance to good restaurants. The breakfast food selection and quality was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. My only problem with this hotel was that they didn't always provide water which I think is a must when the tap water is undrinkable.

Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms on the side of the hotel that faces the Fields sign. It flashes all night and in...

We stayed here for a few days in late Dec 13. There's really nothing special about this hotel. The rooms are clean, but really cramped. Getting mineral water is a real pain because they make you pay through your nose. One would have thought there'd be more complimentary bottles available for guests. The concierge is very helpful and knowledgeable. There are great restaurants within easy walking distance so you don't feel trapped if you're at the hotel during mealtimes. The pool is basically for dipping - don't let the photos fool you. And the gym is really quite basic. When we were there, there was renovation going on so using the pool/gym was a function of much one could tolerate the construction noise.

Dear guest,

Thank you for choosing Private Collection Miraflores for your stay and for letting us know about your experience.

We regret to not have fully reached your expectations regarding our facilities. Our pool was closed a few days in December due to some maintenance work; we apologize for the discomfort this caused you. Nevertheless, our pool is in perfect condition for your enjoyment during future visits.

On the other hand, we are pleased our concierge was able to assist you with restaurant choices during your stay. Additionally, it is rewarding for us to know that you found our location convenient for walking through the Miraflores´ district.

We certainly hope we can welcome you back at any of our hotels in the near future.

Sincerely,

The Casa Andina Team

It is a very well located hotel. we got to Lima through a travel agency, this agency was correct in all, they hit the target with the suggested options. The staff was very professional, large and comfortable beds. and the season was magnificent in this city, in Peru are in full summer season. A place to recommend.

Being a budget traveler/wanting to avoid too much comfort and lose culture, I don't usually stay in nicer hotels. However, my friend and I did the Inca Trail 4 day, 3 night trek the day before and decided to stay in a nicer hotel with a pool and sauna, etc. We definitely made a great choice in staying here. There is a fantastic heated pool, the rooms are large and beautiful and the staff was unbelievable attentive. Our flight arrived at 9am and our check-in wasn't until 12 or 1pm, but we decided to head over there anyway. They not only accommodated us 3-4 hours early, but bumped us up to a superior room for free because our room wasn't ready yet. We got a few extra hours in the hotel relaxing and were very appreciative. Great experience!
