“good pizza, nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

This was one of the "nicer" restaurants in Cusco, but as with everything else in Peru, it was still relatively affordable. My friend had the gnocchi which was OK, but I had the pizza which was great. The oven is in the middle of the restaurant so you can see them make it. I really enjoyed the experience. Service, as with everywhere else in Peru, was excellent.

“True traditional dishes, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

We visited here on the way back from Machu Picchu. The restaurant was very quiet, but was well worth the visit. They serve traditional dishes, featuring traditional and local ingredients. The delightful waitress showed us the ingredients for several dishes that were featured in the food we ordered, particularly the wide range of corn and potato types. Good local beer and food also. This was my one change to try guinea pig. I must confess that deep fried under river rooks probably wash;t the best choice, since it was reminiscent of chicken fried food fro the SW USA. A tad too greasy for my taste. I'd recommend trying one of the other options.

“Warm and Inviting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

What a pleasure to find a restaurant with such open and clever ambiance and excellent food. The service was very professional and courteous. The menu had a nice range of dishes. I had my usual "tipico" Peruvian meal, pizza, and my wife had her favorite, and an actual tipico meal, Aji de Gallina. Sitting close to the pizza oven on a cold Cuzco night was an added bonus.

“Absolutely Delicious Food & Cozy Atmosphere!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

Perfect location in the heart of the city... I ate her twice during my stay in Cusco and both times my experience was excellent. The food is delicious and the presentation is lovely as well- all dishes are appetizing- the quinoa soup, (all the soups were amazing), traditional dishes like the Lomo Pollo & lomo steak dish- so yummy! The risotto and pastas are great choices too- so much to choose from. We had wine the first time and then had to indulge in the traditional Pisco Sour drinks which were super strong and delish!

As for the ambiance, its very nice, cozy, & romantic...very nice vibe with pot belly stove fireplaces throughout. The attire can be casual or even a bit dressier- the first time we were there was an accident as we were lucky enough to stumble upon this place but unfortunately were fresh off an airplane with tennis shoes, workout pants, & tank tops/sweat shirts...the second time we got a bit more dressed up and presentable for our taste! LOL...the city of Cusco itself is casual as there are many backpackers, etc.

When it is busy the service can be a bit slow, but then again I am from Los Angeles where we eat and run! LOL! Overall the staff was attentive, helpful, friendly, & made our experience one to remember!

“As good as any meal that we had in Italy!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Our family had an outstanding meal! Everything was fresh, homemade, and delicious. We had a mixture of vegans and meat-eaters. Everyone had many choices - and they were flexible with modifications to the menu. If we had been in Cusco another day, we would have definitely returned!!!
