EVERYTHING: location (San Blas, a little away from the center and more quiet), rooms (clean), beds (very comfortable), breakfast (excellent), staff (happy people), surroundings (beautiful outside garden), was SPLENDID.

I have never felt so at home at any other hotel around the world. I would like to THANK the owners and employees for making us actually look forward to coming back to our hotel every time we did. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

If you want comfort, friendly staff and excellent breakfast, look no further. But If you feel that you need ostentatious luxury, go spend (more) money elsewhere.

Room Tip: Begonia is a very spacious room. There are only two matrimonial suites which are hard to get, but yo...

We really liked this place, due to the fact that it was reasonably priced, and provided everything we needed. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and offer the most amazing view over the city. The staff are very helpful and provide breakfast and a good guide to the city. If you are looking for five star luxury, this isn't your place, but if you are looking for clean, safe and friendly accommodation at a great price, you will not be disappointed.

It´s a very quie and restful penison, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. I was there many times in the past and if I stay in Cusco I will live here.

Very clean and well decorated rooms.

The price is a little bit higher than in others, but thats ok, because it´s an excellent service.

Best parts - homey reception, breakfast and common areas. Very nice garden as well - when we arrived and first saw the garden as well as the view of the city - it was breathtaking! The manager also helped us a lot in booking tours around cusco and the sacred valley. Bad parts - room is very basic (you do get what you pay for!) and, just our luck i guess, our shower heater wasnt working when it was below zero outside! We raised this with the staff day in day out and they kept saying it was already sorted out but it never was! I dont know how 1 can take a shower when it's freezing and the water is freezing cold as well! But at about US$30/night you do get what you pay for.

tip: the B&B across it looks MUCH nicer. Dont remember the name though..

Dear Csolleza0204,
It’s very strange, but not the first time there is a review which we can’t relate to anyone who has stayed with us. We are absolute sure, during the last month has not been one case with hot water problems which has been reported by a guest and which has not been solved immediately. The strangest thing is in the last have year no one from Singapore registered here. Also we can’t recognize you from your photograph. Are you sure you stayed with us?
Best regards, Peter

This hotel has several amenities you won't find in many places in Cusco - a hot shower with great water pressure, in-room heat, and a delicious breakfast with excellent coffee. Everything is clean and well taken care of, and the staff is friendly. Great place to stay if you have a slightly higher budget.

We stayed here three nights recently and loved it. The rooms are old and quaint. The breakfast is wonderful as are the staff. It is in the San Blas neighborhood close to the plaza. The grounds are wonderful with flowers and nooks/crannies for having a nice breakfast. I wish all hotels were this well-run.

Room Tip: The rooms in the 200's and 300's are away from the busy area........

We stayed at Pension Alemana either side of our machu picchu trip. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was nice- lovely fresh rolls, eggs and fruit salad. San Blas is a really picturesque area with lots of restaurants and bars. Ensure you have a couple of days to acclimatise to the altitude if you come straight from Lima!
