“Best Pisco Sours in Town!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

We stayed at Casona les Pleiades before and after our Inca Trail Trek (we had the same room pre and post trek). The water pressure and temperature was amazing. It was also in a fantastic location just steps from Plaza de San Blas. Multiple bars and restaurants are steps away, many of which contain local art. Breakfast was good, consisting of eggs, breads, cheese, ham, teas (coca and non), coffee, fresh juice and fruit salad. Happy hour pisco sours were the best we had in Cusco. The froth on top was almost like a meringue and the woman making them in the afternoon was extremely nice. We booked a Sacred Valley tour through the hotel and it was great for the price (you will need your tourist ticket for entrances). The night before our trek, the music from Km. 0 was a little loud, but we did go to bed very early that night. It was not a concern any other evening.

A great bed and breakfast. It really falls perfectly in its price category. Much nicer than a hostel (and quieter) while still being a great value.

Room Tip: Upper rooms with a view of Cusco will be the best. Terraces are quite small, but the view is amazin...

When I travel I like to find places to stay that have a bit more character than the box chain hotels, and I got exactly what I wanted. The hotel has a more intimate guest house vibe that is great and it's within three blocks of the main plaza. The touring services that they offer are totally worth their money as well. The driver Jaime, takes you all over to see sights, explains the history and significance behind them, and took care to get us to the sights before the big tour buses arrived and got too crowded. I would definitely stay there again on another trip!

This hotel was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we decided to book it. This hotel is family owned and run by the friendliest staff. It's located in the sweet little neighborhood of San Blas. Lots of walking, small shops and restaurants. We are walkers and we liked the fact that we could walk all over Cusco without needing transportation. Our room was small but tastefully decorated and VERY clean. I loved the layout of the building. The front door opens into an open air courtyard and the rooms are scattered about on different floors. There is always tea and coffee waiting to warm you up, along with a continental breakfast that they will prepare early knowing you have an early train to Aguas Calientes. The staff is A++. So accomodating with tips on what to do and where to eat. I must give a huge SHOUT OUT to Jaime, our reliable and interesting cab driver. We used his services for airport and train transports. He was our angel. He was always where we needed and we enjoyed exchanging information on our countries, using his excellent English and my broken Spanish. We love this place and would return again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to the Inca trail and 5 nights after - we left a lot of luggage whilst trekking and it was placed in our room for when we arrived back. The hotel is very convenient in the San Blas area - a nice little walk up hill to get in practice for the areas hiking! The breakfast was pretty good and all the staff are very friendly. Free coffee, teas and coca were greatly appreciated too. Loved room 5 with its view of the city, and nice decor.

Room Tip: We had room 5 based on other reviews and were not disappointed although for 2 nights it wasn't a...

We had two nights in Cusco before and after our macchu Picchu trek. We saw very good reviews on tripadvisor and decided to do ahead with this hotel. And we were very glad we did.

When we checked in, the concierge staff were pleasant and answered any questions. Our room was tastefully decorated and clean. We were given steeping colca tea, which was a pleasant surprise. There was free wifi, but slow during peak times.

The beds were comfortable. There were a quite few layers of heavy comforters on each bed, as well as an electric heater. These were very handy during the chilly nights.

We were impressed with the morning continental  breakfast, which including eggs, ham, cheese, fresh bread, coffee and fresh fruit juice.

San blas is a quaint bohemian type area with lots of nice cafes, restaurants and tourist sites. Definitely much quieter than hotels in the main square, which is a few blocks from this hotel. From the Cuzco airport, you can expect to pay 30 soles to get to this hotel.

Although this is a pricey option, it is definitely worth every penny.

This is a very nice, quiet B&B in what seemed to be a safe part of town. Right up the hill from the Plaza de Armas. The staff was very polite and helpful and most speak English; we did a day tour that they arranged, the taxi driver just drives you to the sites; he spoke some English and was very helpful. The rooms were a little small (and ours was on the top floor and you couldn't stand by where the toilet was because the ceiling was slanted. It was cold at night but there is space heater and plenty of blankets/comforters so it was not a huge problem. Overall we had a great time!

This is a top little place to stay in Cusco. Cute building, with rooms built around a central courtyard over 3 levels. It´s at the top of the hill in San Blas, on a street with no cars - only foot traffic, which is important in Cusco. One look at the behaviour of the drivers and you´ll understand.

It´s a 5-10 minute gentle walk to the Plaza de Armas, which is where lots of things are located.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and walls are VERY thick, so it´s quiet. Plenty of warm bedding and heater available if you´re there in winter. But I didn´t really find it that cold. Plenty of hot water all day.

Service is excellent. Staff are happy to help out with things. English speaking, but not all that strong.

Breakfast is pretty much the same as you get anywhere in Peru - bread, eggs, fruit, meat, cheese, tea, coffee etc.

Were happy to store our bags while we were away on treks.

Place is secure, with a locked front door and gate 24x7. Someone is always available to open the door no matter the time.

Only minor issue was noise from what sounded like Karaoke bar next door. Was closed by midnight, so no biggie. One room on 3rd level does have a low, sloping ceiling, so ask not to have that if you are tall.

Room Tip: 2nd level is best, back from the street.
