Check your booking and room type before arriving, and upon arrival. We did not get initially what we had booked and it took some angry complaining to get it rectified. Not sure where the fault lay (ie UK travel agency, local agent or hotel) but last November we booked double room with views for 5 nights stay in mid-May. We got a room with a window on the internal corridor, which we rejected immediately but were told no other option for first night. A nightmare room (225) because it is above a restaurant which plays loud music until past midnight - despite repeated calls to reception who tried to talk to restaurant management. Second day we were moved to a room with a view but it was a twin, so we rejected it again. We were told there were no rooms available with double beds and views but one was eventually found when I said I would call our local agent to find out what other hotels to match our booking they could find. Regardless of which party had screwed up on our original booking, what I did not like about the hotel is that firstly they thought it OK to put people staying for 5 nights in a window-less room (for a one night stay, I might have accepted it) and secondly that they could find a double-bed and view when we got really angry. Just left me feeling disappointed in the place. The room that was found for us out of nowhere - 206 - was good. View on the street, away from noisy restaurant. Would have been nice to have been given that without the hassle! Good that breakfast was replenished frequently - we experienced it at both 5am and 9am and it was well stocked at all times.

It is important to mention that we only have one room type, named traditional. Regretfully, we were not able to change your room due to our occupancy. Rest assured that, if it was possible, we would have been more than happy to help you and solve your concerns.
In reference to the establishment and the loud music, we are aware of this issue and we have made the necessary recommendations in order to keep our guests’ rest. We can assure you that we will persist on this matter.
Once again, sorry for the discomfort and we really hope we have another opportunity to serve you.
