“Elegant, quirky, centrally located boutique with kitchens!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014

Walking distance to main plaza yet quiet with rooftop views of the city. A small old hacienda type building totally modernized with an artist's eye, with superb personal service. Many rooms are two floors, with kitchen and dining facilities.
Walking sticks and umbrellas available for loan, lobby tea water actually hot. One of the best breakfasts in 23 days in Peru. The dining room is small, and one morning was jammed with an early departing group. We chose our food, and it was carried to our room where we ate in our dining room.
Would have been happy to spend a week acclimating here.

From the moment we arrived weary after walking the Inca Trail to find we had been upgraded to a suite, we felt at home and comfortable. We agree with other reviews, little touches like the hot water bottles are what sets this hotel apart. The receptionist thought of how to help us before we thought of things ourselves - eg confirming our flights and printing out boarding passes. Edson was great before we even arrived, helping us sort out tours. We had three nights and then returned for a last night in Peru a week later - they remembered us and welcomed us with smiles that made us feel at home. Thank you...:)

Room Tip: Front room overlooking little entry lane is HUGE and interesting as you look out upon the daily comi...

We took the senior suite right on top of the hotel and had a great view of the city both day and night. The kitchenette in our suite was well equipped but the one heater was not enough the heat the entire unit and it was cold. We appreciated the hot water bottle provided and the extra blankets but it was chilly when we were there in winter. We loved the terrace outside the room with deck chairs and umbrella. The hotel breakfast was simple but local fare provided was tasty and eggs were quickly prepared by the kitchen on request. The laundry service was efficient and reliable and reasonably priced. The staff at the reception all spoke good English and were very attentive and helpful. This charming boutique is easily the prettiest one here and is in a great location, tucked between rows of souvenir shops and great restaurants. Walking to the Plaza however can be quite a challenge even in sensible shoes. The cobblestone pathways are slippery and the alleys between quaint Inca walls maybe picturesque but can only accommodate one car and pedestrians must walk single file and squeeze pass each other when face to face on the sidewalk.

Room Tip: We really loved the senior suite we were given. It was spacious and had a great view!

This hotel cannot be faulted in any way! The rooms may be a little small, but that is of no consequence when you receive such a wonderful reception ! Hot water bottles in the bed, heating on! What more could you want on a cold night in Cusco? Lovely breakfast, coca tea and leave freely available, assistance with anything you could possibly need. Friendliness and helpfulness abounds

The best staff ever!!! After a small issue with the place I was going to stayed, I ended up in Casa San Blas. I stayed there for 2 weeks and they were of of the best experience I have ever had. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was great. Breakfast was my favorite meal of the day. The location was also great. It is surrounded by small restaurants, shopping and anything anybody would want. The staff went above expectation. Many thanks to Russel, Janet. Jacky and Anabel. You have made my experience in Cusco unforgettable.

Room Tip: The entire hotel is very quiet.

A very charming hotel with an extremely helpful staff. Great breakfasts and amazing views from 3rd floor rooms ( it costs a little bit more than other rooms but the suits are bigger and really nice). We originally booked smaller rooms but decided to get an upgrade after arriving and seeing the view from upper floor. The reception stuff had to work some magic to arrange it since hotel was almost full and we needed 2 rooms for 2 families with kids. My family had to be moved during our stay but we did not mind and truly appreciated they effort for our last minute request. Hot water bottles in our beds and chocolates on pillows every evening were a nice touch. They also kept our luggage safely when we left for an Inca Trail. I can't thank enough Edgar from reservations who went out of his way to help us to arrange our stay in and around Cusco (excellent guided day trips, bus tickets to Puno, personally dropped us off to the bus station and welcomed us when we arrived to Cusco) He was very patient with our ever changing plans months ahead of our trip and answered promptly hundreds of e-mails we had send him. In larger hotels you might get bigger, marble covered lobby but never this level of personal service. We stayed for 4 nights and will stay again if back in Cusco.

I stayed here for 4 nights and loved staying here so much it actually felt like Casa San Blas was THE destination, the reason why I came to Cusco. It was all I had hoped for and more! The view from my room on the 3rd floor was fantastic!
Casa San BlasThe is perfectly located, being just a short walk to Plaza de Armas, Sacsayhuaman archeological site, and being in the most atmospheric neighborhood in all of Cusco (San Blas).
The staff was great, from Edison in reservations, and especially Russell, (the hotel manager) who was extremely helpful in arranging tours and making sure everything was perfect at the hotel.
The food in the restaurant was really great and you can eat inside, outside on the patio, or have meals delivered to your room.
EVERY time I come to Cusco, I will stay here!
TIPS: Best restaurant close by: Pachamama.
Cusco is VERY easy to get around and, as a woman travel alone, I felt safe everywhere I went!
Thank you to everyone at Casa San Blas for such a great stay! It exceeded my expectations. If you can stay at Casa San Blas, it will surely become one of the reasons you'll want come back to Cusco again and again!
