My friend and I were visiting Peru to make our four day trek on the Inca Trail. On our way back after we have visited Machu Picchu, we decided to spend the night in Ollyantaytambo. After our tour of the town that morning, we paid $80 to take a cab from Ollyantaytambo to Cusco. We made arrangements with the cab driver to make stops at Moray and Salinas de Maras. Our last stop was Salinas de Maras which was a naturally terraced salt mine. We spent about an hour there taking pictures, buying salt and souvenirs from local vendors, and eating lunch (sandwiches we bought earlier in the day). I thought it was worth the visit.
