“Loved This Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

I had an amazing time at this hotel. The rooms were immaculately clean, the service was perfect and the food was delicious. The rooms were fresh and there was hot water. The waiter even went out of his way to help me charge my iphone during breakfast.

We stayed here a few weeks ago for 3 nights, we went to Macchu Pichu on the last day returning late at night and checking out early the next morning. When we got to the next hotel we noticed a full bottle of mens aftershave had been taken from a zipped toiletry bag in the bathroom and a female top (still with price tag on) which had been in the wardrobe were missing, together worth about £80. Our seperate insurance policy excess would not cover this amount.
We contacted our travel company Hayes and Jarvis who couldn't help us but advised us to email the hotel direct. I did this a week ago and have not had a reply. It is very disappointing that the hotel do not take any action against the male room cleaner/thief or offer to compensate us. I would strongly advise anyone staying here to keep everything locked up.

Clearly, this chain is oriented toward American (and other) tourists. Lovely lobby, comprehensive breakfast, clean and well-appointed rooms. The staff was very nice and helpful Located near the Artisans' Market.

Its a simple hotel, but very organized, clean and the service is great. The location is perfect, right next to restaurants, stores and the main street. There's an art market in front of the hotel and you cant walk easily to the square of weapons of the city.

Room Tip: As a vacancy trip, you don't need a luxury room, the standard one is great.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a VJV tour. We all experienced a difference in altitude having arrived from Lima - and our breathing was not helped by the hotel lifts being out of order - we had to walk up several flights of stairs to get to our room!
The rooms were comfy, clean and spacious. Two large double beds and a seating area. There was free wifi available in the rooms and a stocked minibar (soft drinks, beer etc.). No tea/coffee making facilities.
The hotel was within walking distance of the main square, slightly uphill about 15 mins away.
There was an indoor market opposite the hotel and also a restaurant and cafe. The hotel is located on quite a busy main road so some rooms may experience road noise.
Free cocoa tea available in the hotel at all times. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was a bit hit and miss - one meal was really nice but the other not so good.
Cusco itself is absolutely lovely and we enjoyed our stay here.

I just stayed here a few days ago and I was very impressed. nice staff, clean, easy to communicate, great location, good food, it's a very safe bet for Cusco. The market is right across the street, as well as a nice restaurant with live music and great Ceviche.

Room Tip: As far away from the main streets as possible, even is that means a bad view, it can be loud at nigh...

Serve plus location was great at this hotel. All the streets in Cusco are busy so this street is no busier than the rest. Hotel is centrally located and includes a great restaurant and spa. We were able to get oxygen to help us deal with the change in altitude. Later on that day we took advantage of the spa services. It was worth the money to stay at Jose Antonio. Also there are three good eating establishments near hotel. Two are right across the street from this hotel and next door on same side of the street you will find the second restaurant. Only down side on this hotel is the piano needs tuning. LOL Enjoy your stay.
