THE BREAKFAST AT THIS HOTEL looks more like a dinner buffet... :) :) :) so so good , we can't be happier with our choice, the rooms are extremealy clean and comfortable, we highly recommend this hotel to everybody,... guys in the hotel ( the staff workers) ...we miss you already.

Stayed four nights in order to get acclimated to altitude.Centrally located to main square and shopping. Small convenience store and restaurants directly across street.Beautiful lobby with clean, attractive rooms.Friendly staff. Ask for room on the exterior for view.Windows open for air.Would not recommend interior rooms that face atrium. Great breakfast of eggs, bacon, fruit, assorted breads, yogurt and cereals.Breakfast starts at 4:45 so can eat before starting trip to Machu Picchu.Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for room on exterior of building for view and air.

We stayed here for 2 nights: 1 night before our trip to Machu Picchu and 1 night afterwards. The location was close to the main plaza, restaurants and shops. There was a small grocery store across the street to pick up water and drinks. Our room overlooked the atrium, so there wasn't much ventilation. Luckily we were on the 3rd floor, so no one can look in as we showered! We had a king-size bed which was a bit too big for the room. There was barely enough room to walk around it. The breakfast was good. Plenty of coca tea.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They kept some of our luggage for us until we came back from Machu Picchu.

Check in is from 10am, check out is at 9am. Breakfast was served from 4.45am (I think - it was definitely 4 something!) so even if you are leaving early you can get some food. Breakfast was average. A small selection of fruit, breads, croissants, ham, cheese etc.. There were scrambled eggs and sausages but I wasn't keen on these. The staff at breakfast did ensure that things were refilled and tables cleared quickly though which was lucky as the breakfast room is quite small and did fill up.

We were in room 309 which was right at the top of the stairs which meant we got the noise of everyone else on the floor walking past. It over looked the atrium which was a little noisy but not too bad. I was however glad to not be at the front of the hotel though as there is a lot of traffic in the road in front. The rooms are dated but ok. Unlike all the other hotels we stayed in during our trip no bottled water was provided in the hotel. There is a small shop just opposite though so it wasn't too much of an issue. There is also a small supermarket on the same road. There is free wi-fi in all rooms which worked well.

Bathroom was ok, just dated. You had to wait 5 minutes or so for water to heat up but there is a sign that tells you this on the back of the door. My main issue with the hotel was the shower though as it would just turn scalding hot whilst you were using it. I imagine this must be when someone next door was also using water but it wasn't pleasant. It wasn't just a slight increase in temperature - it was so hot it hurt. The other issue with the bathroom is that to air it you had to open a window that over looked the atrium. You couldn't do this whilst you were actually in the shower as the people in the room opposite would have been able to see in so you had to steam the bathroom and open the window once you were done.

Reception staff were ok but we didn't have any dealing with them other than checking in/out which was efficient.

Location is very good and there are plenty of restaurants etc.. near by.

We got to the hotel at 4:30am and they took us up to our room. Our first impression was that it smelt funky. We got settled in, and the more I looked around I noticed there were hairs all over: on the bed, pillows, etc. When I went into the bathroom I almost fell over from the smell! It was a strong raw sewer smell...so gross! There was hair everywhere too! We immediately asked them to switch rooms, which they did, and it was better. Not By much, but better. On a good side, it has a great location!

We recently stayed in this hotel both before and after we hiked the Inca trail. Our first room was much better than the second since it had a window facing outside, the second room had a window that faced the atrium and provided no fresh air so the room was incredibly stuff. Overall the rooms were fine, but nothing fancy. The front desk staff was incredible helpful and gave us great recommendations and didn't try to send us to the most touristy places in town when our guide did. The food in hotel restaurant was not that great, we had breakfast included in with our room but chose to eat elsewhere.

Room Tip: If you stay here make sure you have a room with an outside facing room.

The rooms at the hotel are OK. Not fabulous but not horrible. There is no elevator so being on the third floor in a high elevation climate was exhausting but do-able for most people. The staff was excellent, always helpful and wearing multiple hats so you know they are working their tails off. The food was actually really good but the only soup that is gluten free is the quinoa. They also had quinoa cereal for breakfast which was really tasty. The palta rellena was fabulous! Location was very convenient to other restaurants and shopping. Would definitely recommend this hotel for the value and service.
