“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

We had dinner here on one of our nights in Cusco and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere and staff. I had the alpaca grill and loved the hot stone concept which they serve it on. Delicious. Also enjoyed a very nice bottle of wine all for an extremely reasonable price. A delightful experience.

“Inspired to go after our cooking class!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

After finishing the Inca Trail, my husband and I wanted to celebrate by having a wonderful dinner. We were chose this place as it was not only highly recommended by TripAdvisor but also because we had previously taken the Marcelo Batata class and loved the experience.

The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful is very much a tourist trap but is somewhat expected since it is one of the finer restaurants in Cusco. We both shared the Cebiche de los Peruanos (yummy!!) and the Huacatay causa which I thought was okay.

The highlight of the menu is definitely their meat! I enjoyed the alpaca tenderloin (when in Rome!) and hubby had a combination including alpaca, beef tenderloin and shrimp. I loved that it was served on a heated stone so you can hear the sizzle of your meat and the presentation is beautiful with 4 different sauces, a choice of potato and a salad.

The service was quite good although a little bit slow. The meal is worth the price and quite affordable compared to what you would get in the US.

“Very Good! 👍”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

We went to Uchu on the recommendations here and we were not disappointed! Service, appetizers and main course excellent! We had the lime shrimp, lamb soup, salad and 8oz tenderloin cooked perfectly and served on a hot stone!

“Amazing meat, worth the price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

We went there after reading the reviews here and the food was amazing as well as the service.
We ate the lamb, beef tenderloin and the alpaca stake all was great and the staff was kind and helpful.
Just one thing: the sweet potato mash was too sweet and doesnt go well with the rest of the food

“Superb !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

Loved the eclectic decor, attentive and efficient service (party of 20), the meal was outstanding, great steak with shrimp over a stone base, native fried potatoes were excellent, crispy and with great flavor, sauces accented and complemented the meal perfectly, the chocolate dessert was great as well. For US standards the price is a bargain for the quality of food and service they provide. Highly recommend, enjoy.
