“Accomodation supporting Fundacion Ninos Unidos Peruanos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

Lovely central courtyard, cosy restaurant, friendly staff, beautiful rooms... All you need under 1 roof. Another unique advantage: you support a good cause, Fundacion Ninos Unidos Peruanos.
We highly recommend this wonderful hotel in Cuzco, close to many tourist attractions.

I can only recommend staying at (one of) the Ninos hotels in Cusco: Large rooms, clean, incredibly friendly staff, helpful to keep your bags while you trek, a beautiful and reasonably priced restaurant / coffee place with a cosy fireplace. But the best part is that by staying at this hotel, you support the Ninos foundation in its goal to provide food and care to some of Cusco's most underprivileged kids.

What could be better at the Ninos hotel? The Calle Meloc location is 15 minutes away from the city center but you are recommended to take a cab after 9 PM, as the neighborhood is not the best. Staff is slow and so is the Internet connection.

Room Tip: Be careful: The rooms on the upper floor have skylights, so you might wake up at 5:30 AM when the su...

Great location, fairly quiet, cozy café with lovely fireplace and tasty food, helpful staff and reasonable price. Cusco is a fun place with lots to do. Nice big room for 4 family members. They also stored our belongings while we were on a 5 day trek.

We stayed 4 nights at the Ninos Hotel in Cusco, Peru. We were so very happy with this small but lovely hotel! The rooms are sparse yet perfect. The courtyard to sit at tables and use WiFi and let the sun shine on your face in the morning, wonderful. The food that they cook is all delicious and inexpensive. We had a room without a bathroom for 3 nights, with no issues and PLENTY of hot water for showers. The night we returned from hiking the 4 days to Machu Picchu we had a en suite room which was good also. They arranged a driver who took us all over the Sacred Valley (we did not want to be on a tour). There was nothing to complain about with this lovely hotel!

Room Tip: One room had no heater but we were very warm all night. It may have been above the kitchen. The othe...

Loved this little place. Loved where their money goes to. I felt safe and the rooms were very modern, comfortable and extremely clean. The food was equally as good. The staff in the restaurant couldn't be sweeter. We ate there often in the 5 days we stayed, did our laundry and got a massage. When the total bill came I was shocked at how cheap everything ended up being and left there smiling knowing we picked the right place. We'll be back, I'm sure.

Room Tip: We didn't have a bathroom- but the bathroom was always available and close to our room. I would...

Beautiful place - creative, romantic and restored in respect to the old house. I was inspired by the place and atmosphere.
Delicious homemade food
Sweet people
Romantic patio

On my second stay I though had a "double" room together with my boy friend with two heavy, separated beds. Not that romantic.

Room Tip: Pleasent to be on the second flor. Especially if you have one of the rooms without bathroom. Cause i...

The room was quite cold when we arrived. So we would have appreciated an extra space heater, especially since the ceiling is quite high. But after a day the chill abated. The hotel has no central heating, but aside from that issue this was an unusually pleasant accommodation. Had the weather been not so chilly in June, this would not have been a problem. But other than that, El Ninos was an excellent place to stay and extremely good value. The attached restaurant was also very convenient, with good food (although a limited menu), but much appreciated after a long day around Cuzco with no desire to trudge out looking for a restaurant. The relaxed atmosphere made for a very pleasant stay indeed.

Room Tip: our room "Laura" was just fine and very large
