“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

Oh my with so many cathedrals to visit, you must run in here. I was lucky enough to be in Cusco for the night of the cross. So beautiful, with processions in the streets and lots of candel's lite.
Nothing like the very old cathedrals.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

3 churches in one building, the baroque facade, the imposing bell towers mark the highlight of the tour. It's expensive entry and no photos are allowed, but still worth the visit. The art work is quite fine with gold, silver etc. The sculptures and paintings are quite good.

Would recommend to go with a guide to understand the history better.

“Expensive to visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

While most places allow access to churches for free here it costs 25 soles to enter. If you wish to of to pray you can in the morning but they do not allow you into the main cathedral just to the side which is literally just pews for praying.

“Not Just Another Cathedral”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

Not a religious bone in my body but get a guide and take in this magnificent cathedral. Lots of the usual images of a poor beaten and tortured Jesus but you will see the very first (I think) black crucified Jesus image. Get a guide so you know what you are looking at...
