“3 Cathedrals in 1”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

3 cathedrals made to be 1. First cathedral built in the 1550's on the site of the first Holy Communion led by the Catholic Bishop. Get a guide or you won't know what you are seeing. ;0
Lots of catholic symbols mixed with Inka legend and culture makes it unique and interesting. Painting of the Last Supper includes cuy (guinea pig)! :)
Gold and silver covers altars.

“Beautiful Cathedral”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Visited the Cathedral as part of a tour of Cusco and was amazed how beautiful the church was.
All the extravagantly decorated altars..... cedar wood decorated with 18 and 24 carat gold leaf.
Some very large art work as well.
Can see why the city is nicknamed the 'city of gold and silver', its all located in the Churches.
However no photographs allowed.
definitely worth a look.

“Cusco Catherdral”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

very interesting , a guide is a must .not sure of the entry fee, as it was a part of tour package.
We know many have difficulties understanding the entry fees , many religious, buildings charge, however it is very common in most countries around the world. The wealth the Church had as you see the amount of gold & silver, used is astonishing.
