“Wow!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We visited right before the winter solstice. There were parades and dancing daily. Soo cool to sit on one of the terraces around the plaza and watch all of the goings on!

“A beautiful park to enjoy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

This is like a tiny city with a colonial Spaniard style, well preserved with a beautiful garden, fountain, and historic sites you can enjoy just seated on one of the old benches. If you have the luck to be there on Corpus Christy Holiday you can see the religious procession and taste the spicy and flavored Cuzco cuisine.

“Tourist Trap!!!!!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

As soon as I stepped off the bus for Cusco, 5 cabbies screaming "taxi, taxi" in my face and grabbing at my luggage, I knew it was going to be "that kind of place". The plaza is NO exception. VERY aggressive vendors all over the place see you coming a mile away. You want tour? You want massage? You want this thing I knitted? You want to take pictures with my baby goat wearing a hat? You want fake alpaca? You want to eat at my super expensive restaurant? ALL THE RESTAURANTS are priced the same as NYC! Dont even think about trying to order Cuy(Guinea Pig). Its cheap and a regular in cusco, like a hamburger is in the US, but they will hit you hard! Avoid the square whenever possible!
