Stayed there for 6 weeks and cared for each day! Effrain , Mercedes (the owners) and Giovani were up to the job - excellent services, special requests, hearty and fresh breakfast, well appointed and new rooms - all make Florida Del Inca an excellent choice. Away from the noisy Plaza De Armas (4 -5 soles taxi ride away) I preferred the peace and quiet of the place. Strongly recommended!

Room Tip: Rooms 202 and 302 have great views!

We stayed at this hotel for a month and at the end of the 30 days did not want to leave. The owners and staff made us feel like their extended family and went out of their way to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Breakfast each day consisted of a buffet of the freshest fruit; eggs; rolls; cold meats; cheese; granola, etc. What most impressed me about this hotel was the great efficiency of the staff. You cannot go wrong if you choose to stay here. Thank you for the experience!!

15 of us were staying at Florida Del Inca Hotel for a month . To summarize , it was awesome . The hotel is a family run business . They are available at your service 24X7. THe rooms are comfortable, linen clean and the team very courteous . We enjoyed the stay thoroughly . Couple of things that impressed me .

We wanted the WIFI to be faster . Efrain ( owner of the place) fixed the same in a days time. We wanted variety for our breakfast table , he and his team ensured the same.

For the price point , this is an excellent place to stay . Close enough to the plaza , yet away from the crowd . There is a good market right round the corner . Convenience stores and small eatries are stone throw away.

Any feedback , good , bad or indifferent was taken care off seriously.

The front desk organized the tours for us . No hassles trips were organized to meet all our fancy and convenience .

Giovanni was the best . He was always there for us !!!! Towards the end, it was home away from home .

All said the stay was awesome at Florida Del Inca Hotel . We were here for the month of May , 2014.

I was really pleased by the kindness of the staff, and their willing to help at any time. The room were perfectly clean every day, the choice for the breakfast was wide, going from peruvian dishes to fruits and many kinds of juice. One special remark that I want to share: I happen to be sick during the stay, having altitude sickness. The owner of the hotel proposed me spontaneously to offer me some mona tea, an inca recept. Other friends had oxygen help. It helped me to be back on track more quicker, as my body was rejecting meds. He was not obliged to, which makes me even appreciate a bit more his hospitality. I would definitely recommand this hotel, respectively come back.
PS: there are many markets around, in a quite neighborhood, and it is at walking distance to Avenida del sol.

A great hotel to stay in for the price. It is extremely clean and comfortable, in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. The staff are very helpful. Complimentary tea in reception and good breakfasts and excellent internet. The only point to note is the 25 minute walk to the central Plaza de Armas, though a taxi takes 5 minutes and costs 3 soles.

Room Tip: Ask for a heater in your room if you are cold - there's a small additional cost but it's wor...

My family and I stayed at Florida del Inca Hotel from June 3 - June 7, 2013.
We arrived in Cusco around 5am and got to the hotel around 5:30am. Efrain, the owner and Giovanni, his helper were waiting for us. They welcomed us with a nice cup of coca tea. The hotel lobby was simple but looked very nice and cozy. There was always a thermos with hot water and coca leaves available at the entrance 24hours.
For all the time we stayed, the service was excellent, Efrain and Giovanni were always on top of our needs. We needed to do some laundry, so I asked Efrain if it was possible and he did our laundry for a small cost. Every night Efrain will ask me what time we were planning to wake up the next day and every single time he was waiting for us early with Giovanni to serve us breakfast in the dinning room. We knew from the beginning that breakfast was served between 7-9am but the day that we went to Machu Picchu we had to wake up earlier to catch the train and Efrain woke up extra early so we can have breakfast before 7am. Breakfast was nice: bread, ham, cheese, olives, jam and butter, fresh fruit, fruit juices, coffee, yogurt, granola and all types of tea. Giovanni always offered eggs and asked us how we wanted them cooked.
Our rooms were very simple but nice. Very comfortable bed, night stands on each side and a desk with a chair. The closet was spacious and there was a money safe in case guests wanted to leave valuables.
The bathroom installations looked new and there was hot water 24hours. My room didn't have a blow dryer but the other room we booked had it available. Our 82 year old uncle said that the tub was slippery for him and was wondering if an anti-slip bath mat or something alike could be provided. Although none of the rooms had one, the owner installed one exclusively for my uncle to take his showers. That was very nice of him! Towels were changed daily and our bed was made every day. We requested more towels and they provided them.
Our room and the hotel were always clean.
Every time we stepped out or went on our tour, Efrain was kind enough to remind us to bring our tourist ticket that allowed us entrance to different sites in Cusco.
The hotel is away from tourist area. It took us 30 minutes to walk from the hotel to downtown Cusco taking Avenida el Sol. A cab costs about 5 soles to get from the main square to the hotel, the ride is no more than 5 minutes. Florida del Inca hotel is near a local market called Mercado Tio and that point of reference came handy in order to let the taxi driver know where he should take us and also to negotiate the taxi fare.
In the evenings, Efrain's son, Rodrigo sat at the front desk, he was a nice 14 year old boy who spoke English very well. Efrain's wife was also available in the evening and she answered all my questions about what was reasonable amount of money to leave on tips for the guides and in the restaurants and provided helpful information about the tours.
Everyone in the hotel was very approachable and ready to help.
I recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to travel to Cusco and is not into luxury but into quality stay with a friendly group of individuals. This hotel is a family owned business and they are extremely hospitable.

I chose this hotel as it was close to another that some friends had booked and which was full by the time I did my booking. It is away from the tourist area but for a few soles, 3 - 8, and directions to the taxi driver to go to Mercado de Tio, I was there in a couple of minutes.

Crazy good though is the service that I received. My tire had a slow leak. Management (the owner?) hopped in my car and took me to the closest garage with air. I had to be picked up at 0515 for the drive to the trailhead of the Inca Trail. The same manager/owner was at the front desk at 0445, at least, to allow my tour company access to the hotel and to let me out. I felt that they really wanted and appreciated my business.

Also very, very nice was my room. Very well appointed. Floor to ceiling windows with viewing out but not in. Beautiful wood floors.

All in all a very solid option if you don't have to have your accommodation right in the tourist quarter.
