This is a nice modern hotel still under construction. Nowhere on the hotels web site do they tell you there will be construction noise. And noise there is. It starts from around 7.30am and goes all day.
The other issue is the location. It is a longish walk to the Plaza, and its not the cleanest area to walk from.

Now for the positives. Beds are very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast is only average. Staff are very helpful, especially the tour desk guy.

So the hotel is a mixed bag. They told me the construction will be finished in April, but i doubt it. So check with the hotel regarding the construction.

This hotel is what i believe the best value for your money in cusco, clean rooms, heating for the cold nights , super breakfast, great beds, helpfull staf. Although its not in the center ,its just a 10 minute walk to the plaza. taxis in cusco cost less than 1 euro so that shouldnt be the problem ! People who dont want to spend to much and want some luxery, golden Inca is the place to be!!!!!!!

This really is a gem of a hotel. Nice light, warm, clean rooms. Heating that works, plenty of hot water 24 hours, good selection of food in the breakfast buffet, friendly, helpful and efficient staff and nice comfortable beds! There is only one downside to this hotel and depending on how late you want to get up in the mornings it could be a biggie!.....there is currently building work going on next door and it is VERY loud and starts at about 7 each morning! It's a shame that there has to be a downside to this place because it really is a lovely little hotel minus the noise!

Most of the noisy building activities seems to be over, so Golden Inca is a good alternative for travelers caring for decent quality for a reasonable cost. Good breakfast, nice rooms with hot and cold water and wifi, and wonderfully comfortable beds. Satellite TV was a bit on and off . . . However, the hotel is NOT in the center of Cusco, so you need to add 10-15 min walk to center of town.
