Description: ALMUERZO BUFFET VEGETARIANO DE LUNES A SABADO A SOLO 10-15 SOLES($4) INCREIBLEEEE Restaurant Aldea Yanapay provides delicious Peruvian ,italian ,marroqui, thailand indu food (with some European favourites) in an unforgettable and unique setting. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the resturant regularly holds music . As well as good food and service, the resturant has the added satisfaction of allowing you to help others whilst enjoying yourself as all profits from the restaurant go towards the financing of Aldea Yanapay's social projects. As such, the restautrant is run with the same care and honest socio economic outlook as the social projects. Thus all employees recieve a fair salary and social benefits, taxes are paid and peruvian products favoured.

“My Favorite Restaurant in Cusco!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

I'm biased because I like the whole Yanapay project, but here is what is special about the restaurant: it's designed like a huge tree house for kids, it's comfortable, and staff are warm and excellent. The menu features an extensive selection of delicious fresh foods, presentation is excellent, and there is a great S/15-20 menu that gets you an appetizer, main, dessert and a cocktail. The fact that all of the money goes to a sustainable project working (and succeeding) at creating "another way of life" for Cusco's children makes it even more delicious.

The restaurant is taken over by volunteers on Tuesday (which is bingo/quiz night) and Friday (which is the grand buffet). If you don't want to participate I suggest you eat upstairs on those nights, but the best thing to do would be to join the volunteers! People eat talk and play games together around a big table, and it is without a doubt the best way to meet cool new people in Cusco. By the end of the night you'll be convinced to stay and volunteer at the school!

“An absolute must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

I honestly can't recommend a restaurant any more than this, for a number of reasons:

1. The food is excellent, varied and good value. The main menu has peruvian, italian, spanish, mexican, indian and thai cuisine, and there are also set price menus that include three courses and a drink for either S/.15 or S/.20 ($5 and $6.50 respectively).

2. The service is excellent and friendly, largely due to the fact that this is one of the few restaurants in Cusco that doesn't exploit its staff. They are paid well, work reasonable shifts, are given paid holidays, and have free medical care.

3. All profits from the restaurant go directly to the Aldea Yanapay social project (www.aldeayanapay.org) which works with children and adults alike in Cusco, and is a wonderful wonderful charity.

If you're in Cusco this restaurant really is worth a visit, not only will it be a wonderful meal, but you will be making a huge difference to a beautiful project in economic difficulty. I was lucky enough to learn about the project when I was in Cusco and honestly cannot recommend it (or the hostal at 534 Calle Fierro) highly enough...

“Like in a kindergarden”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

First thing: this restaurant supports children of Cuzco by part of the profits so go to eat there! It is a very cute place, full of stuffed animals and hats to wear; the restaurant is decorated like a cartoon and its staff is young and kind. The food isn't fantastic but quite good.

“Perfect spot for a traveler to get a tasty warm meal and relax.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012 via mobile

We stumbled on this little gem as we needed to connect to the internet and we saw a WiFi sign and an arrow pointing upstairs. Why not?

Well the place is eccentrically decorated in a very comfortable manner and the wait staff were super helpful.

The food was fantastic. They made my falafel sandwich from scratch and served it warm and it was aces. I highly recommend it.

They also have a bookshelf full of games that they encourage you to use while you are relaxing. The prices start around 12 and go up to about 20 soles.

“Favourite restaurant in Cusco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

I had heard alot about the Yanapay charity organization, hostel and restaurant in Cuzco, so finally I decided to check it out. I was AMAZED by the decor, the deliciousness of the food, the variety of the menu and the great, friendly service. I would seriously reccommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cusco- breakfast, lunch and dinner, an awesome experience for a great cause.
