“Excellent hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

This was myy favorite hotel during a recent trip to Peru. I'm very particular about customer service and the staff here was excellent. They were very attentive to our needs, helpful, and very friendly. We stayed here for one night, went to Machu Picchu for a night, and then came back for another two nights. Both rooms we stayed in were very clean. The hotel also has a great location, being right off the main square and steps away from several restaurants, atms, and the PeruRail office.

Great little hotel right off the Plaza de Armas. Clean with super cozy rooms that's walking distance to everything! The included breakfast is a nice touch, as was the airport pickup. Super friendly staff that were able to accommodate our every need including helping us to organize an excursion! Well worth the money. Would highly recommend!

If you like dark rooms with no windows, this is your hotel. To add to your discomfort there is a very noisy restaurant next door that plays loud music. And if you are unlucky enough to get one of the rooms under the lobby (rooms 201, 301, 101) your cave will be literally under the road, and you'll add cobblestone road noise to your overnight symphony. You'll probably be coming or going to Macchu Pichu. So don't underestimate the need for a good night's sleep in your hotel.
The staff is lovely, but they can't overcome the limitations of this property. Plus, there are so many lovely open-courtyard hotels in this town you don't need to suffer here. Look elsewhere.

Dear David_L35805,

We strongly apologize for the inconvenient that you had during your stay at our hotel.

The noise you are referring in your comment was due to the opening that day of a new restaurant near our hotel that has overpassed de levels of sound permitted by the Municipality of Cusco. We have talked to the owner of that restaurant and also to the Municipality and the problem has been solved.

Once again, we strongly apologize for the bad night that you had during your stay at our hotel and we hope to have the opportunity of serving you again in the near future.

Very comfortable and well located hotel less than 5 minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Free WiFi throughout. Comfortable room and common sitting areas. Breakfast was excellent with good choice available. Complimentary tea and coca tea in reception. 3 PCs available to those without laptops, and free printing of occasional documents. Good restaurants close by. Lots to see and do in historic area.

The staff is very careful and even friendly. The whole hotel is well decorated. Unhappily, our room was well decorated but very small and was giving only on the internal patio, 3 floors below the light, there was no storage, and hardly enough space to open our suitcases.
The hotel was full, so it has not been possible to change, but we could see some much nicer room in the upper floors.
Nonetheless, the location was great.
But considering the comments above, the value for money is not so good. The same brand in Arequipa is much better, and cheaper.

Stayed here in November based on TripAdvisor reviews and we were very happy. We booked the suite for our first 2 nights before heading to MP and then a superior room for one more night after. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and very helpful. It was a very short stroll to the Plaza de Armas and thus a perfect location for exploring Cusco. We both had mild altitude sickness (huffng and puffing, exhausted - even my uber fit husband) so we were very glad to have such a central spot. We were glad we had the suite for the first two nights to relax and adjust to the altitude. Aiprort pickup/dropoff was seamless and they arranged for the same driver to drive us to Ollantaytambo where we caught the train to MP. For us this was the perfect way to facilitate our trip to MP.

Room Tip: The suite was great. Lovely views. For our second stay (after MP) we asked for a quiet room that'...

Stayed here for two nights before heading out to Machupicchu. Airport pickup is included, and they were able to accommodate me even though I took an earlier flight than I had indicated. I had a room with a large king sized bed on the second floor (203) and found it to be well appointed and clean. In particular I liked the indirect lighting provided by the skylight and the two stylish ceiling lamps. The breakfasts which were included were good as well. I left a suggestion for the hotel that they should provide water kettles in the rooms so that guests could prepare hot drinks in their rooms especially for those cold Cusco nights!
