“Unexpected WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

We are working in the hospitality business on the cruise ship for many years and we travel a lot especially on vacation. We never expected to get such a great service and nice rooms for this price! The location of the hostal is nice, next to San Blass plaza, woking distance from down town.We enter inside and they have a nice small garden like a terasa with a nice deco and few tables and chairs, covered by a glass ceiling that was made to leave the light pass threw but not the rain drops. Traditional atmosphere and very good breakfast. Fresh juices of exotic fruits and traditional Cuzqenian bread.Coffee and coca mate available all day. The staff was very friendly and attentive, maybe to much for the expectation of a hostal. We had a room for 3 persons and was really big and clean. Comfortable beds and duvets. We asked for extra pillows and the gentleman from the reception was more than quick to accommodate us with the request. The hostel have wi-fi, TV cable and you can smoke in the little garden from the middle of the building. Great service!!! Excellent recommendation from our taxi driver and a great suggestion to anybody visiting Cuzco! Thank you guys! Adina, Freydy and Marta.

Room Tip: Do not choose a room to high, go for the ground floor or 1st one, you are going to be to tired walki...

“Great service and very friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013 via mobile

The location of the hotel is near the main square which is great since I liked going to restaurants and bars near. I had missed the train in my return from Machu Picchu to cusco and Luis an employee from the hotel was in contact with me and sent a taxi to my rescue. Great service and plan to stay there on my future trips.

“Comfort and great Hospitality! Highly Recommended.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

This hostal is located walking distance from the Plaza de Armas. When you walk in they have recreated the gorgeous outdoor spanish colonial look inside in the lobby. The staff is beyond friendly and will make sure you are oriented in every aspect (directions, calling cabs, how much local pricing is). The breakfast are served early an mostly consists of fresh made breads, ham, cheese and fresh made juices. The rooms have hot water and each have a miniature balconies for a quick view of the city. Please make sure to tip the staff although its not required. Very hard working employees. Very satisfied overall, Highly recommend it!

“Nice place in San Blas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Once in Cusco, we shopped for hostels, and after looking at many, we chose this one. Quiet clean rooms with good firm beds and nice linens, good Internet, heaters in the rooms that needed them, private courtyard for hanging out. The cable TV with CNN was an added plus, as was the rooftop sitting area for watching the sunset over Cusco's rooftops. They stored our luggage safely on our trips to Machu Picchu and Manu jungle reserve. And the staff was helpful and friendly, nice people who bent over backwards to make our stay a delight. We had three different rooms, after our away times, all good. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit and juice, bread and jams, coffee/tea, meat and cheese, cereal and yogurt, occasionally eggs. Nice place.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the street are fun, with their balconies.
