“Wonderful staff & beautiful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Andenes al Cielo was our home base over the course of a 2 week trip to the Cusco area (with our 2 teenage sons). Yes, it's a very pretty hotel, clean, good amenities, nice breakfast, etc. The rooftop open area was terrific and we spent a lot of time up there. But the best part was the staff. So smiley, helpful & friendly. Our son got sick, and we needed to stay longer (instead of going on a trek) - no problem! Could our room be cleaned at a particular time because our son was mostly in bed for 2 days - no problem! We wanted a driver to see some local ruins - no problem! Eggs made a certain way in the morning - no problem. ¡Muchísimas gracias to the staff at Andenes!

This hotel was booked through a tour company for me. I found it pretty swanky compared to some of the other places I stayed. The heat and hot water worked really well. The bed was big and warm and clean. They even provide a bottle of water waiting in your room for you, which was a nice touch. The building has lots of charm, and you head up to the terrace for their pretty decent breakfast. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Great central location as well!

This hotel is incredibly charming, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is perfect for checking out the main square and other parts of the city on foot, the rooms are cozy.. I could go on and on. My friend and I really enjoyed staying here - it was definitely the best accommodation of our Peruvian journey. There are many shops and some great restaurants nearby, so you really can't go wrong. The breakfast is very good, too. Hope to be back someday!!

I can't say enough good things about Andenes al Cielo .... it's location is excellent, the rooms are great, the breakfast is very good and the service is fantastic! A great place to stay when visiting Cusco .... they'll even store your gear when you go hiking.

The staff were great! We were picked and delivered to the airport. They held our extra luggage due our hike on the Inca Trail.
The rooms are unique, very clean and quiet.
Nice place to stay and would definitely go again

The staff was great, the room was clean, the included breakfast was good and they let you store your luggage if you're going on a trek, but pretty average otherwise. They advertised oxygen available upon request, but the tank in their lobby was empty, which doesn't sound like a big deal until you're there having altitude sickness issues including shortness of breath. Also, free wifi usually didn't work from the room, so you'd have to go down to the lobby to get online via their computer or your own phone. Lastly, I don't think they were sold out, but they stuck us in room 203, which was directly below the breakfast area, so you'd be woken up as soon as the staff started prepping for breakfast around 6am. No bueno.

This is a very nice property and is impressively clean. The staff is helpful and gracious. The location is ideal - easy to get to the Plaza where there's always something fun going on. Breakfast is excellent - scrambled eggs or omelettes, fruits and bread.

Bring some warm clothes to wear in the rooms …. very chilly! There are heaters but not very efficient. Also you may need to ask for better pillows - some were very lumpy and uncomfortable.

Upgrading to the better room is definitely worthwhile!

Enjoy Cusco!

Room Tip: Go with the upgraded room!
