My husband and I spent a couple of days in this hostel in September 2010 and we really liked it. The rooms are very basic, though clean with white walls. They are set around a nice courtyard. Simple kitchen is available. The hostel staff is helpful but not intrusive. The only problem at the beginning was hot water, but we figured out that with a smaller stream it gets an OK temperature. Of course, there is no heating in the rooms, so as of September it was quite cool inside. The hostel is nicely located in San Blas, however it requires a little "climbing" up. The place is quiet and safe. It has deposito where you can leave your luggage while going on trekking trips. The quality to price ratio is very good (we paid around 20-25 soles per night per person).
