“Nice location, good room!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2014

The Hotel Royal Qosqo is located near the Plaza de Armas of Cusco. So it is easy to get in around the city easily. The accommodations are good, but the room are a little bit cold (there are a lot of linen so you get warm easily). The breakfast was simple (bread, coffee, tea, butter and ham). I should recommend this hostel.

I come in Cusco about 6 times a year for a week with groups of people, and we always stay at Royal Qosqo. First the staff is very nice and helpful, then we love the patio area. You can seat down in the sun and do your internet work thanks to the free wifi, as well as smoking or anything like at home... The TV works, you get a remote control and can watch movies (in english!) from your bed... Haaa...The breakfast, as said by other travellers, isn't the best but you can ask them to cook you an egg! They have cheap 2 for 1 cocktails every day of the week (but sundays) in their bar (and really good!) The rooms and bathrooms are always clean. It is right in the center of Cusco, close to everything!! The showers are scorching hot and pumping. It can get a little noisy if there are a lot of of people, but just like anywhere else. In three words, I love it!

I walked all over cusco searching for a clean affordable hotel ( not hostel) and this was the best I found. 2 blocks from plaza de armas. The room was very clean especially the bed and bedding. The shower in the room was hot ! Not warm. The wifi is stronger in the rooms than in the lobby ( free PC in lobby). Cable tv. The staff were beyond friendly.

Not bad, but nothing extraordinary. The included breakfast consists of only bread and coffee, had more variety at other hotels in Peru. Location is pretty convenient, basically a block and around the corner from the main plaza. It was hard to get the shower to the right temperature, either too hot or too cold, but considering how cold the weather was I chose the water to be on the hotter side. Room was spacious enough, although it was quite cold at night, had to wear multiple layers. The bathroom sink only had cold water. The staff spoke little English, but I was able to get by. They did help store my luggage while I did the Inka Trail.

Dear Guest,

We regret what happened, but we told him that now is a whole new and better hotel services, including Buffet breakfast we offer now. Our rooms are more comfortable and warm.

We stayed here for three nights in a double room. The room was small, relatively clean (although there were old stains on the bed cover and carpet), and there was a decent bathroom and cable TV. We had relatively peaceful sleeps, although as most of the rooms open onto a central courtyard or hallway, inconsiderate guests may wake you up if you are a light sleeper.

The staff were very nice, helpful and most speak some english. We actually reserved a room in person as we had some time in Cusco to check a few different hotels out. We payed 90 soles/night with a basic breakfast which was significantly cheaper than booking online (I originally got quoted a much higher price on booking.com).

Moved here after being in another hostel high up in the city which at this altitude was exhausting everyday. This is tucked around the corner off the main square, it has simple clean rooms and the girls on reception Araceli and Leydi are very friendly and helpful. They also have an agent in reception who can arrange all the trips you'll want to do while in Cusco.
