This was a lovely experience. The whole family is engaged in the effort to educate visitors about the Andes, the Inca skies, and astronomy. The enthusiasm they project is unmatched, and the little touches make this a perfect experience (they pick you up at Regocijo square, when you arrive you are given a blue stars-and-moons patterned fleece blanket, and hot cups of mint tea to warm you up while you stargaze). Also, there is a friendly white dog named Gandolf to keep everyone company!
I feel so lucky that I heard about this and would strongly encourage anyone traveling to Cusco not to miss this. It is the perfect outing between a trip to Sacsayhuaman in the afternoon and before dinner (you finish with the stargazing around 8 or 9). You will feel invigorated by this family's passion for the skies!!
The current charge is 50 soles ($18 US) which is a complete bargain for a 3 hour rich experience, transportation included.
