“Great little cafe, excellent food and coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

Stumbled across this beautiful cafe today for lunch. Enjoyed a delicious pork sandwich and dessert, plus a fresh orange juice and coffee. Highly recommend for a cheap meal and great coffee!

“Great fresh juices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

A lovely local cafe with delicious (& reasonably priced) fresh juices. We also sampled a yummy apple pie. Great service too!

“best cusqueñan coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

This small cafe is on Calle Marquez, the pedestrian street between Plaza San Francisco and La Merced Church. Red-hued walls and original art create a cozy environment. On the walls are some photographs by Martin Chambi, famed 1930s Cusco photographer, and some sketches famed Latin American literary figures such as Cesar Vallejo and Jorge Luis Borges. The owner, an older gentlemen, has cobbled his own brew from locally produced beans and the result is quite excellent. The cafe cortado (espresso "cut" with a spot of milk) is absolutely awesome. Be sure to have the owner prepare your coffee. The lady who is his assistant makes a decent cup, but he has perfected the art of topping the coffee with an elegant milky froth. They also have a small menu of sandwiches, juices, and desserts, including alfajores, carrot cake, and maracuya cheesecake. I'm definitely going back for the tiramisu.
