“The best meal in Cusco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

We found this restaurant by our guides recommendations, as we were staying near this place this was our daily restaurant for dinner. The meals are just taste and it was really interesting to try the guinea pig, the place is very charming with a musician playing and they have wooden oven for pizzas

Dear Guest, thank you for choosing Pachapapa during your stay in Cusco. We serve traditional Peruvian dishes such as the Guinea Pig and Pachamanca. Our inhouse musicien plays the Andean arp, which creates a lovely authentic atmosphere, and the wooden oven cooks the best pizzas and meats in town. We hope we will have the pleasure of serving you once more at any of our dining rooms that form part of Cusco Restaurants chain.

“Best Guinea Pig Here!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

Unfortunately, this is the only place where I was able to eat the famed Guinea pig. On the other hand, it was just delicious. If you are looking to eat this delicacy in Cusco, and you are not planning on doing a side trip to Tipon (where there are lots of places offering Guinea pig), this is your best bet for the traditional Andean dish.

I went there with my family and we all had a great dinner, everything was cooked perfectly, but not only that, everything is made following Andean tradition. Pachapapa's food is not like the food in Lima, or any other restaurants around the world serving Peruvian food. They make thing the Cusco way, and I really enjoyed that.

Bonus: they serve "chicha de jora", a fermented corn drink which is sweet and not offensive.

PS: They can arrange "pachamanca" for groups of 20.

Dear Julio, we are more than pleased that you enjoyed you meal at Pachapapa. We serve the famous Guinea Pig cooked in the traditional way, trying to get to your table culinary culture. Pachamanca is a Peruvian dish cooked with hot stones undergroung, usually it is meat, vegetables and tubers, all previously seasoned. Thank you once more. Hope to have the pleasure of serving you once more at any of our dining rooms of Cusco Restaurants chain.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014

This is a nice restaurant, not far from the main square. We ate in the courtyard, under the propane heaters. I had the special cui/guinea pig. It was very good, sort of a cross between duck and chicken.

“Please your palate and your eyes (and ears on some nights)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

One of the best restaurants in Cusco: starting with very good Pisco Sour, very good (and generous) dishes - rich stews, delicious alpaca herb brochettes, etc, all while seating outdoor in a charming patio beautifully decorated. Pachapapa offers multiple indoor seating as well if it gets chilly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pachapapa became our HQ during our stay in Cusco :)

“Great lunch place - outdoor seating - great prices.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

Stopped here for lunch after a morning at the ruins. On San Blas plaza - across from church. Had a great selection of pizza and other dishes. Portions are very large. Was not disappointed. Very reasonable food and fast service.
