The Casa de Ana was in an adorable little neighborhood Huayancara and had a very non-descript facade. Unless you knew the exact address it would be easy to pass as another garage.
The entrance opened up to a beautiful two-level patio andd had the scent of flowers and Caramelas the resident cat who greeted all travelers with a meow and a swipe of her body against your leg.
Our room was a a sight for our tired, sore eyes. The room had one queen size bed with a very comfortable mattress, a small bathroom, TV with Direct TV and lots of outlets which we quickly came to appreciate with all of our electronic equipment.
Our hostel was only 15 minutes from the main square (Plaza de Armas). (We went to Ana's recommendation, a place called Chicha. The cuy was quite delicious and the meal in total had a phenomenal presentation.)
We took a cab to the Mirador de Huayncara and easily walked back to the hostel. We got food and brought it back to the hostel (note you can't eat in your room). We tried Inka Cola which is very sweet and has the taste of vanilla and ate on the gorgeous 2nd floor patio with her cat, Caramellas.
