I loved it! El hotel muy lindo, limpio, una vista bella, céntrico, la atención de primera.
Me encanto! Se lo recomiendo.
The hotel is centrally located near the main plaza which is considered down town. I walked every night to the plaza with my husband, the food of the hotel is quite delightful, there's many restaurants around, I truly enjoyed my time in the Asturias hotel.

Stayed here are part of an organised tour. My large room overlooked the front street. I used earplugs at night and was therefore not disturbed by any noise. However, I did find the room to be on the cool side at night. The location was very convenient.

Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was a nice change as everything was prepared fresh for you, rather than a buffet.

Stayed here as part of a tour of Arequipa & Colca Canyon.
A few positives-the location, free wi-fi, good breakfast, good value. The rooms facing the street are indeed noisy ad the windows are single pane but we were here for two nights and it worked out for us.

You will have two different experiences in this hotel depending on which side are you staying. The back rooms face a relatively quiet turnaround street and the most sophisticated restaurant in the city. The rooms located in the front face a very noisy street that is the center of (late) nightlife of the city that is turned on at 9pm and off at dawn. The best rooms in the 3rd and 4th floors are excellent value. The ones in the front are a nightmare.

Do not judge hotel by drab lobby. Once you pass that area you will find spacious rooms with service that is super prompt (3 minutes to bring an extra towel or pillow even at close to 100% capacity during a large event in town that filled up all hotels) and courteous. Bathrooms also spacious, water hot and plentiful. Beds comfortable to sleep, but uncomfortable to read unless with 2 pillows. Room artificial light bordering on the dim end. Small (some a bit noisy) refrigerator in room. Few and poorly located electrical outlets. Spacious closets and sufficient flat spaces.

Dining room adequate with fixed american breakfast and no options on juice or entree (petite fruit salad), except on eggs preparation. Parking available next to hotel.

Location is perfect, one block away from most sophisticated as well as second tier restaurants of Arequipa, cafes, fast food restaunrants, farmacies and bookstores, nightclubs (the ones that will not let you sleep), some of the main attractions of the city (main square and cathedral, Santa Catalina convent, Santa Teresa convent, San Francisco churches, etc).

Room Tip: Accept only rooms in the back, if not go somewhere else.

Stayed here as part of an Intrepid group trip around Peru. This hotel like all others in Peru was noisy. The rooms and bathrooms were quite adequate for two nights and the breakfast was quite good with limited hot options. Coca tea and coffee were available and the staff were quite friendly. Only one block to the main square and adjacent to Santa catalina Monastery which is a must see sight if in Arequipa.

Room Tip: Ask for a very quiet room if you want to sleep.

I stayed at this hotel as part of an Intrepid group. This is a very well appointed hotel. My room (313) overlooked the main street at the front of the hotel so was very noisy at night, you will need ear plugs. The rooms have a flat screen TV with English language stations, a mini fridge, and free Wi-Fi. My room had a huge king sized bed The hotel will do laundry but they charge by the piece and its fairly expensive. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Santa Catalina Monastery and walking distance from the Plaza Armas

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not face the street

Stayed here as part of an Intrepd group and a few extra days as my husband was not well ... so left the group and rejoined them a few days later. Hotel staff were very helpful booking taxis, arranging restaurant reservations and helping with medical issues.

Location is the biggest plus with the hotel. One long block to the main square, across the street from the Monestario ... laundry around the corner. The main drawback is the rooms are inconsistent from great views, to a view of a brick wall. Ours was the brick wall view which didn't bother us much at all. Rooms were clean, hot water was plentiful and breakfast was made to order (eggs).

Would stay here again.

Room Tip: For quiet, ask for a room that does not overlook the street.
