“friendly, nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

We certainly can recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, the owner speaks perfect french.
We had a room on the groundfloor with a terrace and the garden. 15min walk from the center in a quiet and safe neighbourhood.We did a trip around Peru and this hotel was "like coming home"

This hotel is probably better suited for tourists, especially couples rather than the business traveler. The staff is very attentive and will do what they can to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are rather small with limited closet and storage space. The breakfast which is included is basic but good. The WiFi is slow. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood which is good if you want peace and quiet but bad if you want to walk to a restaraunt. I would come back and stay as a tourist but not on business.

We stayed at this hotel recently, after finding it online. The hotel was very warm and homely, Location was great, and we couldnt really fault it. Arequipa is a truly amazing city, and one of our highlights of Peru.

Villa Elisa Boutique hotel was chosed by our travel agent and we were absolutely pleased with the choice. The welcome desk team was very friendly and we immediately noticed a tasteful interior. The room was also nicely furnished and quite large. The bathroom was modern and were happy it was equipped with a bathtub. Breakfast was lovely as well as the room itself. We had some minor issues but these were addressed and solved at once. Members of staff were always very keen to advise us about local attractions, restaurants etc. The location was quiet and within a walking distance to the city centre but we used taxis like the locals. Taxis are really inexpensive. We enjoyed talking to the proprietor who made us feel really at home and at ease. We would certainly recommend this boutique hotel.

After an extensive backpack style visit of Peru we decided to stay in a better hotel and came to Villa Elisa. This was for us the time to rest and we found a perfect hotel, calm well situated, so nice perfect for lovers ! With a very good break-first on top of that !

A place to recommend for all lovers that are willing to offer themselves a loving break in loving Peru !

If you are still wondering where to you stay in Arequipa, the answer is very simple - in the Villa Elisa Boutique Hotel.
We lived in it in August 2012, by that time we were already quite experienced Peru travelers, and it was not our first place. When we came here we were amazed with interiors and comfort, and knew immediately that we would not want to leave this place:).
Well, start with the main house, a place where we can enjoy breakfast in the morning, where you can wander around for a long time as the museum, looking at the different crafts and souvenirs brought by owners of the hotel from different countries, in general until we made out rooms (quite quickly, I must say), we enjoyed our time.
Location: 5-10 minutes by taxi from the city center (taxi is very cheap);
Breakfast: delicious and very rich, if you want you enjoy breakfast in the garden;
Rooms: large and comfortable, each individually decorated with great taste, free Wi-Fi and plasma TVs
I would say that the number of stars is underestimated :)

The location is perfect, nice neighbourhood, away from the busy city center, and yet just 5-10 minutes taxi ride (taxi is very cheap). The hotel is beautifully decorated, modern and yet cultural, cosy, very clean, comfortable. Breakfast was healthy and nice; can have it in the garden if you wish. The ladies running the hotel were very friendly, helpful, accomodative. We had a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: If you are a family of 4, get the honeymoon suite. Our suite was on the ground floor, facing the gar...
