“Don't go if you're hungry.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

To be fair to Wayrana, we didn't actually eat or drink anything at their restaurant. The food sounded nice, the menus were fairly well designed, the seats were comfy and the place was reasonably lit. However after waving at waiters for 15 minutes to get a menu, then waiting 20 minutes to be served we just left. There are clearly not enough staff waiting on tables, I felt a bit sorry for them. The waiters and bar staff looked overwhelmed. Looking around at the other patrons we were fairly sure the food would take a long time if/when we were to ever attract a waiter over to our table.

We were very hungry, so we ended up leaving and visiting a moroccan restaurant down the road. It was quite nice.

“Nice decoration, amateurs in the kitchen, and try to get more money!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2011

From the decoration and the menu it looks like a modern fusion cuisine with tasty decoration, some modern art at the walls. The prices reach the level of Gaston Acurio's "Chicha" without delivering the value.

The attention is poor. The waiter made three trials to serve us beer: He did not have Arequipena, after that, he noticed that he did not have dark Cuzcena as well, and instead of trying just to bring two light Cusquena bottles and open them at the table if we agreed, he went 3 times without bringing anything.
We selected two soups and one cebiche, the special mixed cebiche de la casa Wayrana. One soup was Ok, the other had nice contents but no taste (salt, pepper and herbs missing, as well as a little piece of meat or bones cooked with it). There was no bread served, neither before nor with the soups. The guy did not come back to the first floor until we had finished the soups, so we could not even as for salt or aji.
The cebiche for 30 Soles (11 $) looked nice, but not all of the seafood was really fresh, we left a lot of it on the plate. Again nobody asked whether the food was OK or not.
I asked for the bill and payed. When I got the money back, I noticed that the guy had given me only 15 Soles instead of 25. I told him, and he said the cash clerk was responsible. So take care: If you eat there, you are likely to be betrayed, if the cash clerk cannot count well - and of course to his favor, not to yours.
