it's right that the woman who manages the hostel hasn't have good english but she maks a great offort to make you enjoy your visit and feel comfortable.
I came here for 4-5 days. i know spanish quite good but it's not excellent. the woman that manage the hostel doesn't put on me presure to stay more or to buy from her the colca track. when i came back from the track i was sick. she took me to see a doctor and didn't leave me steal i god antibiotica (it took more than an hour). she realy loves to help people. she is very nice, smart and funny woman. because my sickness a stayed there more than too weeks. so i had the opportinity to eat with her dinner and talk about peru in this days (politically) or just laugh about life. besides that the hostel is quite bioutiful and the kithen is great. there is billiard-snooker table in great situation and very large and fency salon. there are plantes in the garden and you can seet in the sunny weather of arequipa and read oe be in the good wifi. its right that is not hotel but hostel but in great sape and nice and helpfull staff. i rocommand it because all these reasons and mainly because i felt like in nice house!

the bed was awful... thats the only (and most important) concern in this place. The woman is not very friendly, but thats ok. The location is not great, but thats ok. The hostel Che Lagarto is only US$2 more and is way better (location, big room, clean, friendly staff)!
We stayed only for one night... would not stay another.

Stayed in this hostel a few weeks ago for 2 nights. It is south from Plaza de Armas and not far at all but looks quite sketchy at night (especially if walking around alone). I stayed in the female dormitory which was good and spacious. The shared bathroom is good but didn't have hot water one night. The breakfast was simple but good (coffee/tea and bread). Has a beautiful courtyard and amazing rooftop where you can watch the sunset. Wifi works great and the hostess is very welcoming. The highlight of this hostel thigh was the Colca Canyon 2day hike that I did (200soles including the ticket for the canyon- 70 soles). The hostess organized it and it was amazing, so worth it!

Nice hostel my girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights . Cute building, lovely staff bathroom was ok, nice view from our 2nd floor room though.

There was always security on , even when we left for a tour at 3am on a Friday morning there was someone who waited with us untill the bus showed up. I thought it was a nice touch. Would recommend for anyone traveling on a budget.

This hostel is not very good in my opinion the lady running it wax horrible from the beginning to end.The man and reception lady are both friendly. When we went for breakfast we asked for eggs like everyone else got abc the lady shouted at us in Spanish even though she knew we didn't speak it this was quite embarrassing especially wen we found out after she was telling us we didn't pay right price for eggs in breakfast. This is defo wrong as we payed the same as other girls in our dorm and they got eggs.Basically just don't stay here unless u want to feel uncomfortable all of the time!!!
