Arequipa (Perú) sometimes could be named as a conservative and mind-closed society...
So, probably you never think its possible to find a hotel boutique here with personalized rooms, well decorated walls with strong and sensitive colors.
As the old saying goes: "pueblo chico, infierno grande", Arequipa is a big city (near 1 million population on 2012) but a little one in service offerings. So, a local boutique hotel could be only oriented to visitors, as an aggressive and very entrepreneur bet.
I think local lovers will never select this place for a weekend.
The hotel is located in Vallecito, surrounded by little streets, old trees and old houses... No big buildings surrounded property, but heavy transit is turning neighborhood a little unpleasant place (at morning...) but no comparison with hotels located in city centre, or main square.
Prices are good, service was excellent, so the value is outstanding.
No comparison with other alternatives in City Center, Yanahuara or Selva Alegre neighborhood, because those ones are overpriced, others just act as a business hotels, and so on.
Dreams hotel boutique has a very good combination in location, service, tranquility, trendy, fashion, as special place could be.
Problems encountered from my point of view: this is not a business hotel, so, not possible to expect to find a comfortably big desk for job activities, nor a very fast and reliable internet connection service or Wi-Fi range... not coffee makers, or room service at any time..
These amenities, will never be found here.
but, if you travel to AQP as a mixed travel program like visiting city as a tourist with a low business activity, or just as a stopover point or resting place for a mining company visit, this place could be a right selection for all of your dreams.
