“Amazon adventure - in comfort and with security”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

This was a once in a lifetime adventure. An up close and personal experience of the amazing Amazon jungle with top class meals and excellent accomodation. The crew and guides seemed genuinely passionate about their work and to ensuring passengers had the best possible experience ... and passenger safety was assured with dedicated security discretely shadowing the whole trip. In addition it was great to see the company involved with community and conservation projects and the staff were justifiably proud of their good work. We had a middle deck cabin which was perfectly located, close to the dining area, the lower deck (skiff) loading area and with elevation for great views. Although the air con. could have been better located in the room (ie blew straight onto one side of the bed) the overall experience was excellent and they got my Gold Kangaroo Award ... for combining adventure, education and luxury.

“The experience of a lifetime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

WOW!!! - We recently traveled on the M/V Aria for four days. The entire experience was absolutely amazing. From the time Daniel picked us up at the airport until the moment we headed back to Lima, the crew and guides exceeded every expectation. I cannot over-emphasize just how courteous, knowledgable and professional each and every one of them was. They love their jobs - and it really shows.

The ship itself is luxurious. If you have ever spent any time whatsover aboard a maritime vessel, you will be amazed at the spacious cabins and attention to detail. The staff courteously and discretely keeps the rooms and common areas spotless.

As for the excursions, the wildlife was abundant and amazing. The guides did a great job of locating animal and plant species, getting us close to them and telling us all about each one. It was never a problem to ask questions or request a closer look. In fact, some of our best pictures were the ones the guides with our camera took at our request.

The food is deliscious. There are many choices and there is plenty of it. If you have a special request, the response is always "Of course - no problem".

What to consider - The purpose of the excursions away from the ship is to explore the waterways and jungles of the Amazon region. When you leave the boat, it is hot and humid. There is water, mud and bugs. If you don't like to sweat and / or are not in at least moderate physical condition, this trip might not be for you. However, if you want to see the incredible Amazon with great guides and return to a deliscious meal, hot shower and luxurious cabin, this is the trip of a lifetime.

“Really getting away from it all”

Aquos is a floating hotel with great accommodations, excellent food and adventures every day. Pink dolphins, mimosas at sunset, monkeys and a great variety of birds. No better way to spend a whole week.

“M/V Aqua - Aqua Expeditions - Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Exploring the Amazon and its tributaries aboard the M/V Aqua is a stunning, world-class experience. Imagine a luxury safari in Africa, but on the water. Land Rovers are replaced by well designed, well maintained skiffs. Permanent tents are replaced by spacious, well appointed suites. And the lions and gazelles are replaced by monkeys, macaws and piranhas.

The food aboard ship is out-of-this-world, Peruvian awesomeness! It’s truly amazing what quality, quantity and variety they’re able to manage from a small galley.

The staff’s personable and well-polished attention to detail were flawless. Clearly much care has been given to cultivating a high quality staff!

The 4 night option was just about the right amount of time. 3 days would have been too short but the 7 day might have become a little monotonous.

Overall, a very well run operation that we highly recommend!

“Amazing experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013 via mobile

Visited for 7 days aboard the Aria owned by Aqua Expeditions. Nice boat with a very friendly accommodating staff who aim to please. Our guides Julio, Roland, Ricardo and Daniel know the area extremely well and can identify all manner of flora and fauna as well as giving you cultural information. Went on the 7 day cruise with changeable weather but events were planned around that. Fabulous food using mostly locally grown ingredients which added to the understanding of the Amazons offerings. Go now before it gets to be the next place to go and gets crowded with tourists.
