Maybe our expectations were set too high based on past reviews. Yes, the setting is fantastic, maybe a reason for the being selected as the final scene in the Ecuatorian movie: Que tan lejos.
All started impressive with the meat carpachio and the "fritata mixa", a sort of combined fried seafood like calamari. Bith well done and tasty.
Unfortunately, we both ordered the risotto, one woth squid in its own ink and the other marinara. Both portions huge, but lacked flavor, and the risotto seemed more similar to comun rice.
Maybe we could have had beter luck staying with a pasta dish... And we went in with high expectations.
