“Perfect Steak”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

It was our last night in Cuenca and we went with friends to the newly opened restaurant, La Vina. The restaurant is structured in vignettes of small softly decorous rooms The atmosphere is both lively and peaceful. The owner immediately and graciously came to our table with conversation and suggestions. Steaks in Ecuador are normally tough because they are grass fed. He promised me that his steak would be 100% tender. And it was. Everyone at our table had an assortment of dishes and all were delighted and impressed. Apparently the chocolate mousse is exquisite but I was too full to order. When I return to Cuenca I will be a regular at La Vina.

“Good, Would Go Back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

The owner stopped by several times and was very nice. Guitar player stopped and played at our table - nice touch. Food was good - I had shrimp. The atmosphere is nice as well. We would try this place again.

“Correct the spelling, its La Viña”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Note to TA, there are two restaurants with similar names, the difference is the "n". This one, I hope, is the pizza/Italian (Ristorante Pizzeria Italiana) one that has been around 12 years, the other is a new restaurant with a very similar name, suggest you correct this mistake. Now for the review, great pizza, great atmosphere, beautiful artwork, friendly staff, and we stopped back just for drinks a week later and the hostess remembered us and sat with us then we got the tour of the amazing upstairs which they use for functions. She is somewhat bilingual and amazing friendly, Nothing bad about this place, all good.

“Pleased to See This Listed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

We just ate here last night and found the restaurant to be very new, so I thought it would not have made it to TA yet.

If nothing else, we loved the art work, both on the building outside as well as all of it inside. The decor is as pleasant as the food and service.

We had a light dinner mixing appetizers and soups. Each item was tasty to the point you could recognize the fresh ingredients used to cook it.

Our waiter had very good English, was extremely friendly and attentive. If we were going to be in Cuenca longer, we would make this a favorite stop.
