“Nice , clean breakfast andlunch place, good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

Nothing spectacular but very good food, EUropean style food --my friend and I ate late Sunday breakfast with lots of food and other people. It was good and I would go back.

“Swiss Corner Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

It's tough to find good breakfast spots in Quito, as going out to breakfast is not a usual custom here for the locals. There are a couple of spots, but they all serve the same thing...eggs, breads, jam, cheese, and coffee. If you're looking for a more varied menu that is always good, Swiss Corner is the place to go.

Headed over to Swiss Corner in the Tumbaco location (not Quito) for the Sunday Brunch-not something we usually do. The spread is great. It includes a variety of breads, deli meats, sliced turkey and ham, and cheeses. The yogurt with the shredded apple is excellent, and they offer a variety of toppings including walnuts, strawberries, honey, and raisins. I was missing the smoked salmon however, which they did not have on this particular day. I don't know if they've stopped putting it out or just didn't have it Sunday.

They also offer a variety of sausages including chipolata, as well as bacon, chicken skewers, rice and potatoes. Finally, you can ask for your eggs done just about any way you like, which is a nice option and an important details. As well, you get served coffee or chocolate, and fruit juices are also available for self-service.

Once you've had this brunch, you won't need to have lunch, it's filling, satisfying, and tasty. They also offer about a half price discount for kids.

My only complaint is that getting your bill can be kind of slow sometimes as the servers are not always around. But it is usually easy to find someone who will take care of your needs right away when asked.

“Best Breakfast in Quito”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Just visited Swiss Corner's Quito location this morning for breakfast. It was busy when we entered. One of the servers recognized us from the location in Tumbaco, always nice to meet a familiar face.

Just like Tumbaco, food is served hot and fresh. I had the omelette with Rosti, my wife had eggs and Rosti. Everything served hot and fast like hot food should be served. The free wi-fi is great too. Parking is a little tight but that is the norm for Quito, and the parking guy out front was very helpful.

Only issue was that getting the check was a little slow. Other than that, same great service and food as in Tumbaco.

“Excellent Breakfast Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

I've been to the new location in Tumbaco just outside Quito on several occasions for breakfast. You can't go wrong here. The portions are extremely generous (two people can eat from one of the main breakfast dishes), everything is served impeccably, the place is Swiss clean, and the breads, coldcuts, and pastries are all fresh and delicious. It's not super high-end, but the value, presentation, and quality are top-notch.

It's a great place for buffet breakfast on the weekend-you have a huge selection of meats, egg dishes, fruits, and breads/pastries. It's also an excellent spot for kids for breakfast or a business meeting. And, they have free wi-fi inside as well.

Don't miss it.
