Description: LEMONGRASS The wisdom, traditions, and symbols from the East are adapted to Western times in Lemongrass. The use of design parameters such as forms, textures, colors, and illuminations take center stage, and converge between them to create a setting that appeals to the deepest emotions. Lemongrass blends together the basic elements of Buddhism in four design parameters: water, fire, earth and air.

“Terrible!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

Do not eat here, this a fake fancy fusion restaurant, we order the Path Thai, my wife's favorite dish, and it was terrible, lots of noodles that they claim to be be rice noodle, but they were not. We did not eat our dishes it all. The place is also over price, and the quality of the food is really bad. If you know and are looking for good fusion thai food, please do not try this place

“Swanky and Unique Decor; But food needs improvement”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2012

This place is amazingly decorated, obviously a mountain of money went into getting the ambiance just right. It feels like a lounge in Los Angeles or Miami Beach. The service was impeccable..friendly, super efficient wait staff and hostess. If only they payed as much attention to the food they served! The food, first of all, is NOT Thai, which was the biggest disappointment. It's more of a fusion restaurant. The sushi was weird, it tasted good but was wrapped in a crepe like roll instead of typical seaweed. The Tom Yum soup tasted like it had Curry in it as opposed to spicy chili flavor, and the Pad Thai was very disappointing as instead of rice noodles it seemed that they used a thin pasta. Not at all like Pad Thai. It seems that with such a huge investment in the place, they could hire a real Thai or Asian chef who could wow you as much with the food, as they've wowed you with the physical space they've created.

“Awful and awfully disappointing...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2011

We has such high hopes....thought we had finally found a good Thai restaurant in Quito. Even though it doesn't bill itself as Thai it does offer a few Thai dishes on the menu. And the restaurant is oh so beautiful. But the food? Just awful. Imagine Pad Thai made with angel hair pasta, the dryest, least flavorful chicken (with a grayish hue) you've ever seen, and absolutely no sauce or taste at all besides those two ingredients. While I can't remember the price, lunch for two was $30. Far too high -- I would not pay $2 for this meal if forced to order it again. My husband had vegetarian fried rice...but made with curry. What were they trying to hide with that? Neither of us are picky eaters...we'll choke down almost anything. But not this time. We just couldn't do it. We felt sorry for the wait staff as they did a great job. But they should have -- we were the only diners in the place. Looks like the word is out, we just wish someone had told us.

“Expensive Eclectic”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2010

"Lemongrass" is a misleading title. There are more middle eastern dishes and ingredients on the menu than asian one's, never mind Thai. Although it wasn't the worst meal I've had in Quito, the prices are unjustifiable. One visit was enough for me. We decided to give it a try because of it's adventurous decor. It's a bit eclectic, and there are some interesting design moments but also many questionable ones.
