I have given this a five star review - why? First of all because Quito does not have a wealth of good Indian and other ethnic restauants, and I don't count psuedo-Japanese and Thai places in that catagory even if the food is good. Second because although this is an extremely modest place with no atmosphere to speak of and even florescent lighting which I detest, but, and this important: the FOOD IS REALLY GOOD and the price is of course very reasonable to say the least. I really enjoyed our meal there last night. If you are three people, as we were, ask the young waiter to choose a spicy dish, a savory dish and a sweet dish from the menu, and order a lassi by all means, and a few appetizers. Order extra nans if you are super hungry. If you don't have money to spend on fancy, and even if you do, check it out, and save the extra money for a good cause. Don't go for atmosphere or special service -- only for the FOOD.
