The place is off the beaten path. It's on the 2nd floor on the corner of Calama and Leon Mera. It doesn't have a very nice entrance in fact it looks pretty horrible. The spiral stairs are narrow, dirty, dingy and there's a tree growing through the spiral "watch your head".
Once you dare to climb the stairs you will find a wonderful eclectic little hole in the wall. The food wasn't great and it took forever.....typical of Ecuador where there is a problem The service was typical Ecuador (horrible). The owner was walking from table to table and struck up a conversation with us. It turns out he stuided in Florida and he gave us a bottle of wine for the wait. Very nice guy! He made a difference so we stayed and we're glad. the atmosphere and the ambience was incredible. We danced to salsa. it was a little different than the typical "tourist" bar. It was a good night (and cheap).
