“Great food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Lovely, modern restaurant on Cerro Allegre. If you like pasta, this is the place for you. If not, try one of the salads - they are great. Lots of pasta choices; excellent wine list, accomodating staff. This restaurant can accomodate large groups but also possible to get a quiet table. The wines are displayed beautifully in floor-to cieling stainless steel racks. Desserts were also good!

“Perfectly delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Whenever I go to an Italian restaurant in the USA I go right for the protein dishes in the 'secondi plati (sp?)' section of the menu (i.e. who would ever want to eat "just pasta" for dinner?) My wife had read the reviews so we made the reservations and my greatest fears came true; indeed, all they serve is pasta & vino (duh!). OK, so you get the picture, this was the first "just pasta" dinner in my life; so for me to say this was "perfectly delicious" is a big deal.

Being a protein addict I asked for the meat ravioli and it was exquisite. For an appetizer we shared the goat cheese & figs bruschetta and my wife selected the duck ravioli = perfectly delicious. For about US$20 per main dish and a great wine selection this is a great value.

The setting is elegant for its simplicity and the wait staff is most attentive. Indeed this place is the perfect combination of a gourmet chef with an Italian wife who really knows about pasta!

Enjoy!

“As wonderful as New York Times and Tripadvisor say.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Without a reservation, we walked into this lovely place on a Tuesday night and left 90 minutes later completely entranced. As vegitarians we are so tired of pasta but this place opened a new world of flavors. Enjoyed the wine suggestion. Bread too was wonderful.

“Great food, obscenely large portions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Because of my American eating habits (dinner at 7:30) I was able to walk in and get a table without a reservation. The hardest part was deciding what to order - everything sounded delicious. I got an fig bruschetta as an appetizer - it was wonderful. Then the main course, homemade pasta with duck, came. It was probably three times as much food as any of the restaurants at home (San Francisco) would serve. It was delicious also, but I wished I hadn't plowed through all that bruschetta. I think two people could easily have shared what I ordered. It sounds like I'm complaining - I don't like wasting really good food is all. It was delicious and much cheaper than it would have been in the states.

“Perfect Homemade Pasta”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Dined here after a drive by in the taxi heading to our B & B. Opens at 8, made a reservation for 8:30. Seated promptly at a table for 2. The reataurant is small so if a Thursday night is representantive, reserve. Wine list has many choices. Wanted a Carmenere so asked for a recommendation from the large number of listings. The Chateau Los Boldas for s$14,500 was a good choice. For appies we had the Mozzarella with cherry tomatoes and a puff pastry stuffed with red pepper, cheese and shrimp. Both excellant. Mains were Pumpkin Gnocchi in tomato sauce and Ravioli Carne. Home made pasta in all offerings were perfect. The meal comes with a nice assortment of breads. Good young staff, attentative service, nice atmosphere and easy to recommend. Total price for two including 10% popina was s$54,30.
