“Probably the best thai place in chile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We have returned to samsara several times and it is our favourite dinning spot in valparaiso.
Nice drinks for a start and the currys are quite authentic ( we can tell with authority as my wife is 1/4 thai) and its fusions dishes are a success : you must try the calamari filled with pork and king crap. The service is ok though they took sometime to offer us a drink. Any way we totally recommend it.

“Pretty good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

Staff was super friendly and Waiting time was never too long. Food was very good. Definitely among the better restaurants I have visited during my 12 months in Chile. Only minus is That the food was not as Spicy as I would have hoped. Also Think some more art on the walls would give the atmosphere a facelift!

“It's not Thai”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

We are very experienced Thai food eaters & this isn't Thai food. It's not horrible food but we were wanting Thai & this failed to deliver Thai food. We ordered the stuffed calamari & it came hot & fresh in some sort of a gravy like sauce with a lovely fresh side salad ( it had more of a Thai zing to it than the main meal ) it's like someone had the dish on a holiday & tried to recreate it here. The food & drinks are very very $$$ with a can of softdrink setting you back $P1500 & a small bottle of water $P1900 plus 10% automatically put on your bill which I think should be left to the customer to decide if we choose to tip or not. Overall the food is OK but not the Asian dining experience we were expecting from all these reviews about the best Thai ever etc it really gets your hopes up & they really know how to charge $$$ for everything. There was not any heat in the dish as well, maybe we got a dish that was not at it's best for the night.

“Possibly the best Thai meal I have ever had!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

The is a must for anyone travelling to Valpo. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. The Thai flavours spot on and absolutely the best. This little place is tucked away in Cerro Concepion and without a doubt worth a visit.

“Amazing meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Went there with 4 friends and we were not disappointing. We shared 4 dishes for 5 people and everything was absolutely delicious. I never thought I would eat such a good Pad Thai in Chile! The deserts were amazing as well.

A must for any Thai-food lover. Watch out though, you have to reserve several days in advance!
