“Nice find!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

There seem to be a lot of sushi restaurants in Santiago, so finding one that was packed with people turned out to be a good sign. The service was fast, food really fresh, and fun ambiance with all the people. It has a very rustic decor but if you don't mind that aspect and aren't looking for something fancy, it is a great spot.

“Excellent traditional Japanese food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

It's like a izakaya (more like a bar and restaurant mixed together) and the sashimi and the sushi are pretty fine, fresh fish, fresh seafood. Good beer, good atmosphere.
Not a fancy restaurant, but a place to feel yourself in a japanese sushi parlor, but the best description for me is a izakaya.

“very good quality!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014

Very good quality sushi! The fish is very fresh and the food is delicious!
It could do with a little remodeling though. And I would say that the portions are a little small.
But all in all, one of the best places for sushi in Santiago!

“Good food & good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

We are accustomed to getting good sushi in California and British Columbia and were not disappointed with Kintaro. Good sushi and salmon teriyaki, a good pisco sour, the waiter was attentive and helped us with the menu, and the price was very reasonable. The only oddity is the lighting which keeps changing colour. Recommended.

“Fresh Sushi and Good Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

This small place offers excellent sushi and sashimi. The prices are reasonable for Chilean standards. Don't expect a fancy or hype restaurant, it looks rather simple but the fish is fresh. It's frequented by a lot of local Japanese and also Japanese tourists. The menu doesn't offer an huge variety of sushi nor does it experiment with fusion cuisine. Expect to have fresh salmon, tuna, tilapia, shrimps and calamari.
A good simple address with decent prices.
