“Best restaurant in the Cajon del Maipo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Casa Bosque outstands by its unique architecture...the building appears to be out from a fantasy movie and would be a touristic attraction by itself and should not be missed by anyone that is traveling to the Cajon del Maipo even if only to take some photos of the building.
The cuisine is based in Parilladas (South American Barbecue) and the meats are cooked or grilled to the perfection....great staff and a cozy environment makes Casa Bosque your best option in the Cajon del Maipo area.

“Not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

This place is unforgettable, brilliant workmanship, the architecture of the house is out of a fantasy place! The food is also good and worth the price.

It is not the cheapest around, but it is worth it, even if you can only afford some coffee and cake.

“Nice lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

We booked lunch for a saturday afternoon. We didn't know the place or Cajón de Maipo. We were very worried on the way because of the ugly restaurants on the sides of the road with their cheap constructions and visual pollution ruining what could be beautiful nature.

When we got to Casa Bosque the kids almost freaked out thinking that was Snow White's home!

We ate very well, and the kids were very well cared for, with high chairs, paper, colored pencils and special menu.

Really the only thing we didn't like was getting there.

“From a Hansel & Gretel storybook”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2011

The restaurant is a good one hour drive from Santiago into the Cajon Del Maipo (Valley of the Maipo River). Most of the truly dramatic mountain and river scenery is further into the valley but rest here and have lunch before continuing or stop for a meal on your return. The restaurant has its own magic, having been constructed using almost 9000 pneumatic tyres sandwiched between a stucco type framework to form the walls. The design is straight out of Hansel & Gretel with the interior using real tree forms to create accents and the exterior form using curves and magical shapes. A history of the construction with photos is available to the curious on display in an upstairs balcony. Beside the restaurant is a similarly themed small hotel which would provide a good base for the enjoyment of outdoor activities, of which there are many in this valley.
The food quality in the restaurant was good and the service attentive, but the main attraction is the design and use of wood and stone to create something unique.
