“Great lunch spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Had a really nice authentic lunch here. The place was packed both inside and outside. Despite, the service was really good and the amount of food was plentiful. We only had sandwiches and soft drinks but it was good quality and really good value.

“Fast Friendly Service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in for an evening meal, the place was packed! A mix of locals and tourists... If you want meat then your in the right place! Despite the place being full of people we found the service to be quick and efficient, and helpful despite our limited Spanish skills! The meal was better than average and on par for what we payed!

“Large Plates”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Stopped for lunch around 1:30 pm. Place was close to capacity. Hot day so started with a chilled bottle of Leyda Reserva Sauvignon Blanc for $7,800 pesos - and a cold bottle of water - perfect! Service was quick and efficient without being rushed. Starts with fresh buns and a delicious pico de gio - every bit as tasty as any tried in Mexico. Ordered the very popular Pastel de Choclo - a baked casserole dish containing sweet corn, hard boiled eggs, chicken, beef, olives and cheese. Big enough for two to share. Also had the Ave pimento sandwich containing chicken, pimentos and mayonnaise - 4 buns and again enough for two. Should have stopped there but also ordered an Ensalada Surtida - tomatoes, corn, lima like beans, celerey, carrots, red cabbage, cucumber, avocado, broccoli and head lettuce - same thing a good dish to share. Did not use the bathroom. Bill with 10% propina was $23,100 pesos. Credit cards accepted. So many restaurants to choose from in Bellavista so picking one was difficult but we were happy with Galindo.

We had been recommended Galindo by a number of people. We were not disappointed.we arrived early 12.30pm and the restaurant was quiet, it later soon filled to capacity, mainly with locals. The food was excellent traditional Chilean . we enjoyed a good bottle of red merlot and our bill was around $40 US for lunch.
