This very special restaurant, in the building of an antique French barbershop (hence the name) was such fun. It is worth visiting for the space alone. A combination antique shop and restaurant, with the barber shop attached, it is absolutely delightful and entertaining. Just finding the rest room (through the armoire) was worth the trip. We had a wonderful lunch--a great Nicoise salad and a really excellent, rich, and seafood-packed chupe. Julian, our french waitor (married to a Chilena) was charming and helpful, and insisted on giving us a tour of the place, he was so proud of it and its history. The Barrio Brasil is fun to visit for the street art and the bohemian attractions--so when you visit there, make sure you stop into the Peluqueria Francesa.
