“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

The Hotel is excellent, very safe street, good breakfast, awsome rooms, very polite crew. The price is not very cheap but is a 4star hotel!
You can find exchance houses around, markets and a mall with the highest building in south america (they still building but, will be the highest!)
The subway station is very close too!

Room Tip: All rooms are good, but if you smoke maybe is better to get a room with balcony

There are two hotels, one block apart, from the same owners. One is called Plaza El Bosque Suites. This one is a flat. Basic breakfast. No views. Almost no service. No swimming pool. Clean basic rooms with kitchen. Another hotel is called Plaza El Bosque PARK. Same owner, one block away. Great views, fantastic breakfast, nice happy hour, swimming pool with a view, good service. These are two completely different experiences, so beware not to book one of them, expecting what the other has to offer.

This newly renovated hotel is in posh area of Santiago....very clean with good restaurant and fantastic view from the terrace bar/reastaurant on top floor....Staff was very friendly and service was promt ( Pisco sour was little over priced but tasted great )...Although there was no kiosk in the hotel, we could walk 50m to find 7-11 type of shop and other shops in this area...also within walking distance were restaurants ( great Italian food there ) and area was safe to walk late in evening. We have just toured Buenos aires and Rio de Janeiro and both me and my wife prefer Santiago and especially this hotel....

It is not that the staff at these lovely suites were hostile or rude, but they appear to be the most unfriendly group of staffers I have encountered and that is not very Chilean. It is not that they said or did anything ---and there is the problem, they gave us the impression of not wanting to be bothered. They were just not like the highly, well polished, and professional staff of the Park Plaza. Sure they perform the basic tasks, but I was even afraid to ask. Now about the hotel. We had a roomy suite, with a lovely view of the skyline, nicely furnished with modern furniture. This was a good buy and the location was perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is on a business trip. The breakfast here is horrible, but room service from their bistro was excellent. You have to pay for wi-fi in your room and it is expensive. It is free in the rest of the hotel:lobby, restaurant (password is wifi2828) and in the business center.

Room Tip: Smile alot and maybe the staff will smile back.

It seemed like everything was an additional charge. I had read on some travel website that there was an airport shuttle but it's really a car service that they will book for you but it's not free. The wifi is extra in the rooms but works pretty well if you're in the lobby. The breakfast was pretty good with plenty of options including cereals, hot foods, etc.

Staff was friendly.

A big plus is the selection of restaurants in the area that you can walk to. I liked Mr. Jacks and peruvian and sushi spots around the corner.

This was the largest hotel room I have ever had. There were 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The room was very clean, but not all that well suited for a business traveler. The amenities in the bathroom were sparse. The showers were tiny and the bathrooms in general felt cramped. There were 2 single beds in both bedrooms, no queen or king sized beds.
The location is great. Notwithstanding being in a major city, the streets in the neighborhood are quaint and inviting and safe. Great food is very close.

Plaza El Bosque Suites is a excellent choice when visiting Santiago. In the Las Condes neighborhood that has excellent food and shopping and is out of the hubbub of old town Santiago. Metro is available (5 minute walk) and can take you to most Santiago destinations. The hotel itself nicely appointed and well run. Excellent breakfast, with a terrific view.

Room Tip: Corner rooms offer a good view.
