“The True Marriage Of Good Food & Good Wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

Over 300 excellent Chilean wines paired with just the right foods. Excellently prepared with care & imagination coupled with a staff that knows & delivers it's "stuff". It's the kind of good restaurant that you wished were located in your home town.

“If you like good wine, this is the place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

Excellent restaurant with a very wide range of wines. Please go to the Wine Cave "before drinks". Need to make reservation on advance and there is parking close to the restaurant.

“First class everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

Boconariz is a complete contradiction to most other restaurants in Santiago.

Firstly the service.....these guys know how to offer service from being greeted at the door by the Maître D to being seated and served was very swift and efficient. Throughout the evening service in this place was manic, yet no-one was stressed, everyone got what they ordered, it was like a well oiled machine. Nearly every other restaurant in Chile was soooo slow at service, not this one!

The restaurant is made up of several different rooms which is nice and cosy, we sat in the main bar area and watched with fascination as the servers bustled around, the bar girls also do an amazing job.

The menu was presented and explained and we decided not to order any food until we tried our 3 glass wine train, I went for a dry white, hubbie went for rich red and then we ordered food based on our favourite wines which we ordered more of. We very rarely have dessert but on this occasion the menu sported both our favourite deserts, crime brûlée and chocolate fondant so we opted for 3 started plates and then dessert which worked wonderfully. We had a wonderful array of cold meats including cured llama and sone fish rose, caviar type cones which were delicious. The wine menu here is to die for.

And then came the desserts, 3 mini brulees, the softest fondant with ice cream ( I'm going back just for that) and we treated ourselves to a late harvest dessert wine to go with it. The price was very reasonable for what we had and we will undoubtably be back before we leave Santiago......

Go here you won't be disappointed, booking on line was a piece of cake and I don't speak Spanish

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

Fabulous! Great food and wine in a non-tourist restaurant. The visit to the wine cave with the sommelier, Lautaro Soto Cossa, was a highlight. We would go back to this restaurant and recommend it to friends.
